Hot from me.

Decent price - I bought one a year ago and only used it a dozen times - didn't find it particularly stable on my knees - could be a physical deformity of mine though. Now use it as a foot rest - it's better shaped for that purpose. Good deal though and heat added. :-)

I also have 1 of these and use it every  good little storage gap aswell, if you charge things by usb stick it in there. heat and rep ;-)

I bought one of these for my mum for a slightly higher price about a year ago from Play.com - these are very good compared to many laptop pads I've used. H&R.

These are fantastic. My laptop, like most, gets very hot, very quickly - this little beauty takes the majority of the heat away making a laptop usable on a lap.

Not bad, but if the top is padded also, it's going to inhibit the laptop's cooling fans. Better off with something with a solid flat surface for the notebook to sit on. My housemate actually uses one of those common dinner lap trays with the beanbag stuff on the bottom for her notebook!

got one of those ... great accessory .. very useful ..hot from me

ORDERED CHEERS

picked one up in the states for about the same price (green/grey)
very useful

why not just use a cushion or pillow?

:?

http://images.play.com/covers/3519558x.jpg

just what i've been looking for - thanks!

despite the name these are not cushiony! they are very solid so have a major advantage over a cushion/pillow

they are very good for leaving your laptops fan clear air to blow the hot air out and so in my opinion will make for a longer life for your laptop especially when using in/on a bed

great little product

Heat added. I bought one of these about a year ago for £13 and use it everyday. On the look out for a new paptop for the missus so tempted to buy one these in advance at this price.

Was just about to try to find one of these for a good price. Thanks!

Perfect for my Dad! Ordered.

I spend way too much money due to HotUKDeals. LOL

Rep and Heat added.

Thanks. Heat & Rep added.

I paid £12.99 in October for this.

B

could have done with one of these in a size more suitable to a 17 inch laptop......... but hot

Infact, showed the girlfriend, and ended up buying 2 more :-)

Just what I needed!

Heat added.

I think you turn them upside down for 17" laptops - the bottom is bigger than the top.... I've got one and a 17" laptop, but have used it so rarely, i comment on how stable it is, upside down!

Wow, nearly did not post this as a deal. Glad it heated up.

ordered one, stop the old b***s getting over temp

Bought a couple of these some time ago now, sure it was from Play and they were cheaper than this, not by a million pounds though.

Other half bought one recently for a present, not sure what she paid or where she got it from but bigpockets did have them for about £5-6.

There is a newer design, one that folds over bit like a laptop itself if you like, would be interested if anyone has one and can comment if any good

why not just use a cushion or pillow?:?

Because it'll block the air vents ... which ain't a good idea ;-)

I prefer this one :-
ikea.com/gb/…791 and less than a £10.

It's got a beanbag style filling at the bottom so fits the contours of your legs or whatever you place it on e.g. bed

Hmmm, does anyone have more info on this? I'd be more interested in this and will probably cancel this order.

Had one of these for ages. Its very well made, and i use it all the time. Even when the laptop is on a table I usually leave it on top of this because its easier to lift with it underneath. If you're a guy and put your laptop on your lap all the time then get this.

Hot.

just ordered, nice price, h&r added TY

They are called PocketTop

belkin.com/uk/…op/

They are £18 at play : play.com/PC/…tml

Or maybe it was the SleeveTop model I looked at previously belkin.com/uk/…op/

They were cheaper around xmas and sure other sites have them cheaper

Great Find!

Just ordered one, it will make a change from me sitting with a blanket on my lap cos i get burnt otherwise!

Cheers OP, was going to order one last week for 20ish pound. Just ordered one at this very respectable price.... Thx.

Why is this product suddenly a hot deal?

I bought this same cushtop for hubby for Christmas from Play and paid £11.99 on 19.12.09

So, its always this price - therefore, not a "hot" deal

I dont understand, how does this allow the air from the laptop to escape??? I have a fan directly under so wont this block it like using a pillow, etc.

The surface is quite firm so it still allows air to circulate underneath the laptop. Not as well as a glass surface would but no where near as bad as resting it directly on a soft pillow or similar.

I've been using mine on a daily basis for a year now and I never use the laptop without it. I find the gap inside is perfect for putting my phone, TomTom and mains adapter neatly inside.

I paid £12.34 (including a 5% discount) in January last year so hot from me.

Not all of us have the luxury of a time machine.

The top of it is rigid and so your laptops feet should keep it high enough above the cushtop for air to circulate.
