I've got one of these i think they are handy and stops the battery burning your legs Ive got a 15.4 Acer laptop i actually use it upside down(from the picture advertising it) as i find it more comfortable using it like that as its a larger area for the laptop to sit on and doesnt sit up as high.

hope that helps

Yes i've got one and its comfortable

If you have an IKEA close by they do a similar thing for £10 with a bean bag base and its wider which gives room to use a mouse.

Got me and Mrs one each. Never use them, but we use mice so it's not really convenient. Think these are really only handy for track-padders.

Good price though so hot.

has 4.5 out of 5 from 32 customer reviews on play - is cheap and worth a measly tenner in my opinion - bought one now heat added thanks!

Thanks mate, bought! H+R added

I have one and its brilliant, especially when you realize how easy things can be from how we make them out to be. Great for saving over heating and comfortable at all times.

Enjoy

Ive got two and their good, good for their purpose to keep the heat off your lap and make it more comfortable but with a macbook it easily slides when picked up or vibration(I come storming on my sofa make my laptop move off)

I have a 17" widescreen laptop. Will this suffice?

I use one of these myself, borrow it from the kitchen from time to time: (fish and chips not included)

New! Eco-friendly laptop heat dissipation system!

Includes space for cables, mouse, and even has handy paper storage hoops!

Comes in a variety of colours! 100% recyclable!

But seriously, it does the job for 99p.

yeah this is for 15.4" on the smaller side and am not sure but think it up to 18" on larger side. will defo fit a 17" no probs. think i picked mine up for £16 couple of months back. i find it stops my laptop from cooking it's self which it does when i have it on my knees or a cushion.

Ha like it! rep added for making me giggle!

I bought one of these a while back and it does the job real good.
The only downside is that they totally stink.
It's a cross between a chemical factory and cats pi#5
urggghhhh, anyone else noticed this?

P.S. We don't have a cat

P.P.S Or a chemical factory

No one else seems to have noticed the smell, any of your neighbours got a cat :whistling:

I have one, great for avoiding the heat and SOOOO much cheaper than the likes of PC world (theres a suprise!) Thanks

quality comfortable item. and no it doesnt smell.

Great item, I have one for my Toshiba 15" and wife has one for 17" Toshiba.

Seems like a good deal. Other colours at Play.com are £12.99. Just ordered one and voted Hot. Thanks for Post.

I've got one of these too and it's excellent. Going to buy another one for my brother, heat and rep added.

Had one of these cushtops but persistent use caused my laptop to overheat due to not enough cool air going into the system, due to the cushtop blocking the fan and air vents not worth it.

i paid £12.99 for the one with the green inside this is HOT

For those interested, Ikea have a couple of similar laptop related products which I find excellent:
A padded cushion type thing with a hard top: ikea.com/gb/…791 - 9.99

A laptop table with adjustable height: ikea.com/gb/…818 - 14.99

I have both of these and would recomment hunting them out if you ever find yourself in Ikea.

Does it stop Jock Itch?

Great many thanks been after one of these for ages!

I use a mouse with a laptop too, just use it on the arm of the chair, bed, or even the side of my leg! (Optical mice work anywhere!) As someone else suggested, I use mine upside down too, a friend uses it the right way up, but either way it prevents the laptop heating up a lot, and is a much better arrangement than on your knee.

Not really, tried it, it just slides off trousers, (esp. polyester trackie bottoms!) with the risk of dropping the machine :-(

I would suspect you haven't even SEEN one.... it isn't soft and nothing sinks in, so I have no idea how it could possibly do this! - it is as HARD as a board!

Looks good voted hot

]I use one of these

A bit (probably too) expensive but good for using in bed, plenty of space for a mouse, your legs don't get hot, and your laptop is well ventilated.

I got one of these off Amazon a few months back, i use it when ever the laptop would normally be on my lap. i have a large 17" laptop and that fits on there fine. Handy for raising the laptop and removing the heat, the gap underneath doesn't fit my huge over sized power supply but handy for running the cables underneath and keeping them out the way.
For under £10 well worth trying it out.

I have one and it gets two thumbs up from me, keeps the heat off your legs and is comfy. Stops any paranoia about wireless signals rendering me infertile too!

Banned

Am tempted but indeed, what's wrong with a folder, tray or even..... a cushion?!?

Cause a laptop would sink into a cushion, block the air vents and cause huge heat build up?

That's what worries me!

Any one who's got one, do you think it would fit an 8.9 inch acer aspire one in the pocket?

i got one of these from play ages ago (paid a fraction more i think) and really like it

i use it the most with my Dell mini 9 for my posture as it stops me stooping / leaning down to the keys / see the screen.

don't think id ever wedge a laptop psu in the gap like it suggests tho as that would get a bit warm
