Better still.. If you print out this page from DABS, and the price match guarantee for PC World. You can go into PC world and get them to price match against this.
PC World price £129.99
129.99 - 79.99 = 50.. 50 *1.1 = 55.. therefore final 110% price match means that you pay only £74.99 if you collect from PC World

This is a nice router, and the wireless is exceptional. I pushed it for an office environment, and was a little worried about problems people have mentioned, however its been fine.

The screen IS a gimick, but the product is good so it doesn't matter.

Something to bare in mind: The Belkin N1 Vision router has a major problem with some VPN client software (Cisco VPN Client doesn't connect).

This is NOT a port issue that you can solve - you MUST download the latest beta firmware from the belkin site (I think its version 1.07, and the router ships with 1.06)

Voted hot for the price match

Where do you get info about PC World price matching Dabs ??

All can find on the PC World web site is this:-

"We check our prices against major retailers and websites every day so you can buy with confidence.

If you find a lower price for the same product and offer, we'll reduce our price by 110% of the difference – even up to 7 days after purchase!

This applies to prices offered by retailers within 30 miles of your local PC World store.

The product must be identical, in stock and available for immediate home delivery in one of the retailers detailed below - single unit purchases only.

This price promise applies to:
Argos, Comet, Jessops, Tesco, John Lewis, Asda, B&Q, Game Gamestation, Halfords, HMV, Maplin, Staples, Toys R Us, Zavvi, Woolworths."

Great price at Dabs though - Voted HOT

They no longer price match dabs, play, amazon or any remotely cheaper shops anymore.

They match Dabs for printers

pcworld.co.uk/mar…tch

Not sure whether they'll match for anything else - as nicknack points out.

Yes, and they have the nerve to call it Price Match Plus, when it's clearly Price Match Minus (ie minus any store worth pricematchng with).

Back to the OP: I have one of these in my home and frankly have found the throughput no better than the Belkin wireless G MIMO unit now sitting in a cupboard. It hangs once every fortnight or so and has to be rebooted, though I've never used a router that didn't (maybe I shouldn't stick to Belkin.) It does look good, but the display is not much use except for confirming the unit has crashed (you can tell because the buttons to scroll through the screens don't respond.)

If I were buying from scratch I would go with the Linksys WAG160N without the aerials that is on PC Pro's A-List currently and that ebuyer sell for around £60 or so.

It's an OK unit so I'm not voting hot or cold. But I certainly wouldn't bother going to PC World and trying to price match. That golden era of something like value for money has sadly gone.

Had one of these for several months now and not had any problems with it (not using vpn mind). Range on this was a step up from my old wireless G router and this one now reaches all over the house and even into the back garden. There are several other pcs/users in the house using the internet and the screen on this displays the usage from each which is pretty handy as we have a monthly limit.

Almost bought one of these a few months back, but was put off by the problems people seem to be having with them. Still a good deal but could be worth a google on the technical issues first.

Here's a link to the Belkin UK website page for the "pre-release" 1.07 including the list of issues that Belkin claim it addresses

It does fix the Cisco issues

don't' forget quidco 3% or buy it from btshop same company with 3% 5.99 delivery or 9.99 delivery shame about 1-3 days del for 5.99 though at btshop nearly bought 1 last night but said it would be delivered on Monday for 5.99 andtomorrow for 9.99 not paying £10 for delivery the router is only worth max of £49.99 it is far too overpriced eg argos are selling it for £149.99 LOL.

Anyone with one of these got 2 xbox 360,s or 2 ps3's ?

If so can you tell me if when both 360's when on at same time connected to xbox live do you get an Open status for NAT or ps3 users when you have 2 on the PSN do you get NAT type 2 on both ps3's ?

You need to use UPNP for this though as well and have IP's assigned via DHCP. If it works then UPNP is working properly on this router which is what I want to find out, thanks

Looks like I'm gonna have to do the usual buy it from Argos then find out myself then return it
