Cracking deal, in the End of Season aisle. Elsewhere in excess of £50. Good way to extend your network via house wiring. Compatible with home plugs. 2 year warranty and free phone support.

This is instore and may be national as end of season, did'nt realise internet was seasonal? Picked up whilst collecting the deal on the Colour ccctv system posted on Saturday. He said smugly. Sorry.

Tried and failed to upload image of receipt, apologies, but it is genuine. If anyone can advise how?

Code from receipt 0722868782385 if that helps.

I found one on the 20th and there was one more left at Maryhill Glasgow (though I Pm'd someone who had previously been looking for a third and haven't been back since so not sure if it's still there)
I picked up two from Northampton Extra the other day. Definitely a few floating around. Weren't marked up at £19 though think it was £76 or something similarly ridiculous

The OP has been here for over a year. I doubt they'd go out of their way to make up a fake deal just to disappoint people. While asking for receipt or pictures is normal behaviour here, it doesn't hurt to ask nicely. "Do you have a picture of the receipt?" goes a long way.
kalel786 was unnecessarily rude to the OP.

Very good point - guilty until proven innocent is not in the spirit of HUKD. Can we just try to be civil. People post deals to help out. Anyone who makes up a fake deal to get admiration from strangers for a short time until inevitably found out and flamed, needs our sympathy rather than hate as the effort required for little temporary gain is sad.

Can we just try to be a little more supportive? Though I get a little annoyed by the endless 1 store 'currys 97p' deals, it is a small price to pay for the community we have built here over the years, and we need to be a little more supportive if we are to stop it becoming a bullying site where the environment of hostility means it is easier just not to post.

I wouldn't get too concerned,Kalel786 is just a little angry with life, as looking at his former posts someone in a car reached out of the window and stole his hat whilst he was cycling along a road. That sort of traumatic experience would make anyone rude in the long term, and explains the obvious distrust in humanity he displays in his post...

Thank you for the support greatly appreciated. I've tried to upload the receipt and failed miserably. I'm on a learning curve here. I can give as good as I can take, but agree it shouldn't be a forum for unnecessary opprobrium. The questioner can look it up! thanks to whoever posted the pic.
Could not find this in 3 Tesco stores in my area and one was an Extra
Great deal - no need to show receipt I got this 3 weeks ago in Glasgow when it was posted last kalel786 needs to wind his neck in a bit.

I was going to grab a couple and fleabay them, but noticed that they can be picked up on ebay for £27ish buy-now ... and some auctions style sales sold for less, so didnt bother.

what do you do with one of these? is it a wireless router...
You plug your router into one plug the plug into the wall then plug ur pc into the other one and into the wall it uses your house electric lines to feed an internet connection through the plugs..

Just to clarify. Say you can't get a decent wirelss signal in a particular part of yor house via wireless. You plug one Surf plug into a socket next to your router, wireless or not, using a lan cable between the router and the Surf plug, then in another part of the house, plug the other Surf into a socket and connect your computer or whatever into it via a lan cable, and Bob's your uncle you have internet via your house power cabling. Or if you have access to someone techy, use another wireless router connected into the surf and set it up to get wireless access local to that Surf plug. Hope this helps

Also worth mentioning that 99% of these things state that they don't work through extension leads, and this for a lot of people is going to be an issue, as most people would have their router near a number of other electrical products, and again the second plug in another room is likely to be with a number of other products. This means that you lose a wall plug at both ends.

I am on my third set of these and have used all three (3 different makes) through extension leads without any problems. I am on 500mb ones now having started with 85s and then 200s..

My son has one of ours in his room as he uses Xbox live, and without them he wouldn't be able to play on-line, as the WiFi signal isn't strong enough to reach his room. However he only has one wall plug in his room, and its not near the TV/Xbox!!!, and with his Xbox, TV, desk-lamp it wouldn't be possible without using a extension lead, but it works perfectly well. I also have the third one plugged into an extensions lead for our sky+ box in our bedroom, so that we can get any-time + and again don’t get any trouble with it.

My only gripe with these is that they are Belkin, and I have had a number of issues with Belkin products in the past, although I know that a lot of people swear by their products.....

    Lol
I'm unclear as to if one of the plugs has 3 ethernet ports or not.....the advertising material says you can connect upto 3 devices to one plug but I don't see anything saying thats what can be done with these.

Can you anyone who has them confirm ?

    Thanks
Just one plug per device though if you had a switch you could put one plug into your router then another into the switch and using separate cables connect the rest of the devices. I do this in my room so I only need to have one long cable
