Yeah, I don't understand the fuss with wireless charging.
The 'wireless' charging pad is still plugged into the wall, and how long does plugging a lightning cable into the phone take compared with placing it correctly on a charging mat? Negligible difference definitely.

I like the fact that if you keep the phones longer than the warranty they socket won`t get worn out over time!

If you have kids like mine that go through chargers like there's no tomorrow it's a god send.

You should try the magnetic charge cables. I use the wsken mini 2 ones. They are totally genius. Saves the port, you knock them and they just drop off. No more mashed cables, no more mashed port and supports fast charge and data transfer on all my android devices. The best bit is the same cable supports all the differing cable ends (lightning, micro USB and USB type C). The only issue I've found is I'm not sure if the type C tip has the 56K pull up resistor in it, so for type C I've gone for the adaptors (they just plug on the end of a type C cable, and I've made sure mine all my current cables have the 56K resistor).

1amp output so no fast charge. You could buy equivalent for £5-£8 Not a good deal

Won't be that when you have to buy a new charging socket cos you wrote it out in a couple years.

For a similar price to a wireless charger......

For a similar price to a wireless charger......

I'd argue it's still cheaper and you get full speed charging. Not all devices support wireless charging, especially tablets and you could be there a very long time if you can't charge your tablets at full speed. Horses for courses though, I just wanted to suggest what I feel is the best solution for kids destroying not just the chargers, but also eventually, the port on the devices themselves. For just a cable with an extra magnet in it, I have to admit, those magnetic cables are a bit pricey though... Shopping around, you should be able to get them for about £8, and I see they have a new cheaper version out now too, as well as the round version that does charging only.
