Hot from me! Prompted me to get off my comfortable and go out to the shed to check the kids' tyres lol

Don't need any but nice price
Good deal for kevlar. Lighter than steel bead so good for increased acceleration.
Kevlar? Is anyone going to be shooting at the tyres? Isn't this what some bullet-proof vests are made of?
Nice deal - just mind these won't fit a regular adult MTB wheel (26 ins) - 24 ins wheels are normally used on kids bike, age range 8 - 12 years.

It's the bead that holds it to the rim.

It is used in bulletproof vests indeed.
It's added to provide puncture protection. Always a good thing to have.
Very cheap at £4.50.
My Specialised double kevlared tyres cost me £30 each.

Ah you're right it is used for puncture protection in these, but normally it is used instead of steel in the beading where it joins the wheel rim. It is lighter than steel and it also has the added benefit of making the tyre foldable when not in use.

I notice these have steel beading. Ignore my previous posts.
I got the 26" version of these in the summer from Asda, they are very good (slightly heavier than normal tyres).

The Kevlar is in the middle of the tyre only (not on the side walls), I haven't had a puncture since fitting them..........HOT
can't beat schwalbe for puncture protection
good deal and always handy to have.... if they fit your wheel that is

can't beat schwalbe for puncture protection

I'll second that! I rarely go off-road so I use Schwalbe Big Apples on my mountain bike in the summer and Landcruisers in the winter. They are awesome and I havent had a puncture since using them..which is 4 years + now. This is a hot post though..and if they had 26" tyres for the same price...I'd definitely buy a pair so heat added...

Ditto. I own the Schwalbe Marathon Plus, and no punctures for over a year. I've pulled massive thorns out of them with no issue. Where as before that I was getting one every 1-2 months (12 mile/day commute), and with good Specialized tyres that had a "flak jacket".

The same here. I'll never buy anything other than Marathon Plus. These are pain to change but well worth it.
Without trying to compare these to the competition, nothing can come close to these on price for a 24" tyre. Even unbranded tyres aren't this cheap.
