I was in ASDA today. Noticed they are selling these amazing bike lights for a tenner the set! They are locking with an allen key - supplied, so no rubbish plastic clips, they won't get stolen. They take x3 AAAs - not included. The lamps are very well made and incredibly bright. they have two settings ON & Flash. I have mounted two sets front & rear one on continuous t'other on flash, mounted back to back on rear seat post and front either side of A stem Any one who cycles to work should get a set! The rrp is £44 - amazon.co.uk/RAD…LTG

So about £9.55 at current Travelex rates and a flight and a day of your life travelling. Thanks for your input, I'm always one for getting the cheapest price and best value.

It's a little confusing that it is advertised as 'Bell Radian Bike Tail Light'. I assume these are definitely a set, and not just the individual light prices?

Which is - about £10. Considering US prices are pre- tax and our VAT is 20% this is a much better deal!

Thaks OP.

The website is indeed a little confusing but it seems unlikely they would only sell a single tail light. I think I'll take a punt and see what gets delivered to store.

Cheers again, don't know why this is so cold

Secure with Allen keys - I think this is the locking device of choi

Of for most major banks now lol

Interested, but hesitant - even at a tenner..

USA Amazon one star reviews indicate unreliable build quality
and limited life span due to poor weather proofing ?????

Plus, they may most likely be a very visible magnet for local scumbags;
and I daren't imagine the damage they might cause to the rest of the bike
in sheer vindictive frustration at being unable to easily steal the lights !!! (_;)

No one is being negative here...they are just evaluating the information on offer. The Amazon.com reviews do suggest these lights have suspect weather sealing. Given that they are designed to remain fixed to your bike, they potentially aren't going to fare to well over a UK winter (which is wetter than the majority of the US!).
So yes, no one is being negative...they are just highlighting some of the apparent known issues.
I won't be buying these - though for some (those that keep their bike indoors for example where the lights can dry out), they will be ideal I'm sure.

If you can't take the heat...................................

Actually I think this is a useful thread with an intelligent debate about the product and people raising LEGITIMATE concerns. It's a shame if you won't post potential deals as a result.

Negative ? - no... of course not.

Objective - well, yes.. most definitely !!!

... see, no matter how immediately attractive a bargain may appear to be,
we still need to remain alert to potential issues,
and positively weigh up the pros & and cons as experienced & rational informed consumers...

Still, heat added for bringing a fair priced deal to our attention.
