They're rolled up in a box - take out of box and, voila!

Sorry, couldn't resist

Anyone tried these?

yes i had a pair a few weeks ago. nasty they are dont buy. back tyre was balding within days. no skids

These are great, I have been using them for over a year and no punctures (the Kevlar is only in the middle part of the tyre, so you could still get a puncture if something pierces the side of the tyre)...........HOT from me

I have one on my front tyre. It cost £5 when I bought it in 2007. It has been used pretty much every weekday since then. Still no punctures. The rear tyre is a Schwalbe Marathon Plus that I fitted in March 2008. No punctures to it either. I used to get punctures every couple of months before fitting these two tyres.

Yey! A bike related deal, whereby some numpty can not claim they could buy a car for less!

Good price, although I would too concerned about the weight. HOT.

I call bullshït

"Weight: 1.07kg"

Even taking into account 100g or so for the box, that is one heavy tyre!

Good price though.

Rolled up in a box hey, seems fishy...

The bead (the inner rim bits that seals the tyre against the wheel rim when inflated) will be Kevlar rather than a ring of steel wire, which means it can be folded which makes it easier to squeeze in a rucksack as a spare and also means it weighs less than an equivalent steel bead tyre. The Kevlar bit on this type has nothing to do with puncture protection. They do use Kevlar in bullet proof jackets etc. But in this tyre It's just the bead which will be Kevlar, not the entire casing. You can buy puncture resistant tyres, but these are usually more than £40 each.

The product description states steel bead and Kevlar layer so does offer punctire protection. On-line price is £11.48

These look like car tyres or something. The perspective of the photo is really confusing me
