Defeats my collection if I don't have this as a CD. Great band though. Anyone who hasn't heard them youtube Lazy Line Painter Jane. There's also a great live one on there.

Brilliant band, saw them live and they were great.

Brilliant band, thanks for this, voted hot. Bought, but yeah, will probably get the CD too

Defeats MY collection if I don't have this as a 12". I am told there is a delay getting it pressed up though. I think the vinyl comes with a free download version as well.

ah didn't know they had a new one out...*heads of to warezzbb*...thanks for the heads up

I think a lot of vinyl doesn't seem to make it very far North (Newcastle) before the stocks run out. I have had (or the shops in Toon) trouble getting a lot of stuff recently with crappy supplier not sending records that are orderred.

Buy the CD....dont download. oO

RIP Alt.Vinyl, RPM should have it in stock though...failing that, HMV on Northumberland Street is surprisingly decent for LPs...

Its RPM who have had trouble getting some stuff recently, they are great and do get all sorts in, just sometimes find it hard with some orders.

So it's just me that finds recent (within last ten/fifteen years) vinyl sounds nasty? Especially compared with some of the releases I have from the 1970s and 1980s. Is it just that all the hardcore vinyl engineers and mastering bods have retired?

Could be, but could also be that the masters are all from digital now and they would have been analogue masters at the pressing plants back n't day. Apparently there are only about 3-4 places left in the UK that press vinyl, so not much of a skill circle of engineers at all any more.

I like vinyl that comes with codes for FLAC downloads for free. Sometimes these are even 24 bit!
