Would look at Samsung and LG which usually come with 5 year warranty as this seems to just have a 2 year warranty - heat for price thogh

You can extend the warranty by 3 years for an extra £60 or £106 for 5 years.
The photo makes look like a 12kg shame it' just 7kg
Cold. £436 with 5 Year Warranty, only 7KG load capacity and lacks the refinement and reliability pedigree of an LG. Why spend that much on a Belling, when an LG that costs less can give you so much more?

Could you please show me the link for the LG or Samsung that you are referring to for less with a 5 year warranty? I would like to maybe buy it myself.

We got the Belling FW1016 10kg machine from AO before Xmas for £400 and got £60 cashback on top. Great machine this far.

Read description in full. 9KG options available for not much more. There's also a 9KG version available from AO with 5WASH Discount code and Steam Technology for £399.

All models (the 8 and 9 KG models in Currys and the 9KG model at AO and Hughes) qualify for the 5 Year warranty by redemption from LG before 28th February.

On Hot UK Deals do a search for "LG Washing Machine" and take a look at the recent threads over the past month.

I believe Belling haven't been making washing machines for long so it may be a little early to judge reliability. I know Samsung get heat here but I've also read many horror stories about them here and elsewhere too.
Would go with LG if the price was right but at least they're supporting British business.

I absolutely take on board your final point, but even when supporting British business, our products still need to be world class quality.

Having looked closely at Belling washers, they are certainly better built than many of the budget brands out there. My understanding is that their washing machines aren't manufactured by Belling themselves, but by one of the major appliance manufacturers based in Turkey.

On the other hand, Bosch, Samsung and LG have in recent years opened their own dedicated factories in Poland and have thus as far as I'm aware have maintained the strict standards of quality control previously seen in Germany and South Korea.

I am sure Belling are owned by the Irish based Glen Dimplex group and I can say with nearly 100% certainty that there is no way that this is made in the UK (someone else has said this is likely badge manufactured by a Turkish company ) the LG is a far better option IMHO

Glen Dimplex was formed in Newry, Northern Ireland so not Irish and part of the UK. I'll look later to see where ours states it's manufactured.

Just because a company is formed in a certain place doesn’t mean it’s based there or has any ties to the country it was formed e.g. Bacardi - a Wikipedia search brings this up;

GlenDimplex (formerly known as Glen Electric) is an Irish based consumer electrical goods firm headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. It is the world's largest electrical heating business.[1] With an annual turnover of €1.5 billion, the group employs 8,500 people.[2] The company is privately held, with manufacturing and development centres in the Republic of Ireland, the United Kingdom, China and many other locations around the world.
