Not bothered about the bendy USP although an article saying how tough it was is reassuring. For ~£170 this seems to beat the Moto Gs of the world but posting here to see what others think - hope it doesn't sell out as thinking of buying one. SoC is fairly speedy, even if RAM and storage a little light (Apparently has an SD slot though). Seems good value if a little left field?

Wouldn't be buying a Snapdragon 810 based phone if I could help it.

They were notorious for overheating and I can't imagine time helping the thing. If only it didn't use that processor, as it would've been a decent phone otherwise.

I remembered there was one Snapdragon with that issue, I had thought it was another, so good to know.

Moto G5 is 2 years younger on Android 7 with a useful fingerprint reader and removable battery, also cheaper at £149 at Tesco

I just sold mine it's a brilliant phone - only sold mine as went for an s8+

Isn't this model sevreal years old?

Its an older phone now but still a very good one, I have mine two years and it has been brilliant in that time.

Surely this is an iPhone 6, sent back for magically bending and then re-badged as an lg for resale?

Seriously though, decent specs though would point you at xiaomi redmi note 4 (cheaper but from china) or Lenovo P2 (about £40 more) . Not got the latter but people on here who do seem to love it.

Xiaomi better phones same price band .

Don't buy this phone.

I told the Mrs to buy the version with 3GB ram (H950) and battery life is pathetic. After about 20 minutes of Skype, the phone gets too hot and you get messages telling you to reduce the screen brightness or the phone will shut down.

Just pay a touch more and get the Lenovo P2.

Speaking as a person who has had a xiaomi redmi note 2 and now a xiaomi redmi note 4. I can tell you that it's not a good experience so far with the xiaomi redmi note 4. A significant number of apps don't work including an essential "call confirm" app. There are issues with people not being able to hear me unless connected through Bluetooth. Checking the Internet shows that it is a common problem with these phones. All issues combined, I would not recommend the xiaomi redmi note 4.

Not voted either way on deal.

Flash a different Rom. Red mi is like 80£ for the same price as this you can get a xiaomi mi 5 or mi max

Been using my Flex 2 for about a year, good phone, great music player, good battery and camera, good screen but terrible in sunlight.Basically its a glorified LG G3.Its stuck on 6.01 and will be for ever.Still turns heads as people ask if its bent (curved) on purpose! Fits well in the pocket though it is quite large.Great if you get drunk and sit on your phone as it has some survivability!

great phone have one now on marshmallow battery good four hours screen time its near indestructable never used screen protector and not a mark on it even fell off a rollercoaster at blackpool and survived.the only downside to this phone is the screen brightness on a sunny day its a struggle to see it otherwise its perfect never overheats camera still performs well and the snapdragon wipes the floor with the budget ones mentioned above its a phone you can either love or hate i love mine its perfect for my use and very underated lg actually gave this phone plenty of love updated it about six times due to it been first snapdragon 810 phone and it did underperform and overheat at first not now runs brilliant

Remember when my iPhone bent and Android fans laughed but now an Android phone does it, it's suddenly a feature?

iPhone 6: Bends when it's meant to remain rigid. Bending = defect.
LG G Flex: Bends because it's designed to "flex". Bending = feature.

its now out dated this phone not worth the money

and this will never get nougat upgrade its a old phone

even lg confirmed this

Don't want to hijack thread so quick suggestion Jabaltariq. If your problem is that people can't hear you when you use a wired headset /mic then would recommend you get soundabout app on playstore. Had same problem on note 3 but this has completely fixed. Default settings but after install shut down and restart phone.

Thanks Andybro. I've not actually tried using a wired headset. The problem is when not using anything, just speaking direct into the phone. Now that you've mentioned it, I think I will try using a wired headset to see if the problem is replicated. Is this app just for headsets or do you think it might help with the problem the wired headset? I'll give it a try and what see happens. Thanks again.
