This is a great monitor without breaking the bank for next gen consoles. If you can get your head around missing out on the refresh rate and hdmi 2.1 I think you'll be very happy. If not I think you are expecting too much for less than £200.

Think the same model was around £160 on eBay few days ago with the 20% off code, but I don't like the bezel

Both systems offer 1440p now, at that budget id go for a 120hz+ IPS 1440p monitor, i currently have a 27 inch LG Ultragear (GL850 i think) i got for around the same price as this BenQ . its a 1440p IPS panel and 144hz. works brilliant on my PC and my PS5. Darks arent amazing being an IPS but your not going to get an OLED in this price point. It will take a 4k signal and downscale it but with the new update on ps5 just turn on the 1440p setting its much sharper and will allow you to run at a higher refresh rate. I hope this helps you out

Thanks. So would something like this be better for the extra 20 quid?

    No it's TN

I have this monitor. You get what you pay for...

This wouldn't be the best choice for either the series x or ps5 as it's only a 60hz panel. Both systems aim for 120 frames per second so you'd be limited to 60 with this. What is your case usage, games/work/streaming??

Currently there around 40 games that can run at 120fps and very few if any do that at native 4k androidcentral.com/lis…ort
Just fyi of those who might break budgets to get a 4k 120hz monitor when it might not be needed (run my gaming pc and ps5 through 4k 60 and looks gorgeous but not a competitive gamer).
It is of course a very personal thing
EDITED: change number of games to include ps4 games enhanced to 120 fps support. Link updated as well. Credit goes to for the correction. (edited)

Amazon really just adds PS5/Xbox to their titles to gain traction?

I dont really know the differences to be honest.

IF you dont want to break the bank, most 4k monitors under £200 will be more than fine, including this one ,especially if your doubling up for console and pc. IF you want to be picky about 120hz or hdr then your going to be spending a lot more, see it for what it is. (edited)

Better off going 1440p and 120hz and HDR

Don't buy this, it has a TN panel at maximum refresh rate only 60. This isn't a good monitor, look for IPS or VA 10bit panel with HDR preferably 120hz or more. It may cost a bit more but the difference is huge.

This is an entry level 4K monitor Average at best. HDR performance is poor.

HRD basically doesnt exist below £800 unless ur getting an OLED and even then its suppose to hit 1000 nits to be proper HDR10

I picked one up last night for £80 on FB marketplace. Lad I bought it off was a Graphic designer and keen Xboxer. He loved it but wanted a bigger screen so let this one go….

I've had two of these for the last 3years. I've use on pc, xbox x and ps5 and it's a great monitor. Great picture.

I have BenQ 27" GW2765HE with 2560x1440 resolution and I'm quite happy with it (PC work, not gaming).
Do you think this one would be good as a second display? I'm concerned that 4K resolution would be too high for regular work

I tried TN panels twice, both went back, I have 2 IPS and 2 VAs which I am happy with

Also this monitor is known for having issues with MacBook M1

Works fine with my 2020 M1 using usb-c to hdmi lead… nice crisp screen for coding. Would prefer deeper blacks if I’m honest but when comparing it to my M1’s actual screen it’s never going to win….

TN panel, wouldn't bother...might be okay for gaming, but nothing else.

60hz Tn panel for 200 in 2022? should not exist , these companies should be fined for deliberately making E waste

I highly advise watching this YouTube video.  It reviews the monitor and it's not good.  Cold!  Also, G rating for energy? Eww.  Considering the cost of living? I say no thanks! (edited)
