Is this good for PC gaming? Should i go for a 144hz QHD monitor? I do use a GTX 1080. Thanks!

You mean the S2716DG?

If so it's over double the price though. Not that I disagree with you about it being the better monitor, you generally get what you pay for in monitors and HDR/Freesync might not be great on this BenQ. It's just not in the same ball park to compare at the different price points.

Are there any good/decent 4k monitors that you know of in between these 2, in terms of price? I've been using a cheap 27 inch 4k monitor for work and gaming with my GTX 1080 but I'm always trying to keep an eye out for a good deal on a better monitor.
Anyone can recommend a decent monitor for home office. I am researcher, so my main want is size for multi tasking. I am open to dual monitors and I have MacBook Pro 2018. I am not a gamer, but quality resolution would be a plus.

Just adding that You cant run 4k and 144Hz, not even with a 2080Ti.
The sweet spot for gaming is 1440p at 144Hz, and that is not even mainstream, most people still have and buy 1080p monitors....
Check hardware unboxed on youtube, they do great monitor recomendations.

Does this one have VESA mounting on it?
BenQ have the best eye care features. Have a EW3270U and feel like i can use it much longer without getting tired eyes compared to my laptop
a lot of pro's are still using 1920 x 1080 res , but will use anything between 144-240Hz as there is a noticeable different with the higher refresh rates .

Depends what graphics card you have? And if you favour refresh rate, resolution or image quality.

This will look okay but it's cheap for 4k.

You'll never want to go back once you experience high refresh rate gaming. I think 1440p/144Hz is still the sweet spot for now. There are 4K/144Hz monitors available, but they're extremely expensive and obviously very hard to drive. 4K is really nice for desktop usage though.
Remember when Benq used to make very poor hardware. I'm guessing they've moved on and making quality stuff now
