This is the monitor I want! A bit pricey for most, but ticks all the right boxes ;-). Just holding out for an updated model, as this monitor is a year old now (Last time I checked there was no announcement).

Thanks for posting, voted hot!

Hmmmmmmmm......do i go for this or the 26" Acer ?

Any one got one of these babies ?

yes same thing ran through my head.
but Sureshot said, best to wait. this is probably one of the best 24" out there with the Dell 24" HC.

With full HD resolution 1080 this BenQ has HDMI connectivity which should be standard but the Aver or Dell still does not have this.

I could be wrong.

This is still good deal,

how does this compare to the 2407fpw-hc

also does it run 360 in 1080p with 1:1 pixel mapping.

seems a bit steep for a 24" to me. But the spec is good.

Does it, i paid £350 for my 22" although that was 6 months ago, and that was it just after just getting a reduction of £100.

It does do 1:1 pixel mapping in full HD, however you need a firmware upgrade if its an older model.

There are cheaper 24" screens out there. There are some at around the £250 mark, but the cheaper ones use a less good type of panel. I can't remember the details, but apparently they don't look as good, or so the reviewers say.

I'm using a Dell 24", and it's very good, with loads of acreage.

But their not as good as BENQ FP241W 24in TFT. It not just about size, it what it offers and quality.

Bar the connectivity, what gives this one the edge over say, the Samsung SM245B?

The Samsung has a TN panel - which makes the black levels inferior to the Benq (although this is what makes the monitor cheaper)

The Benq has a S-PVA panel which gives a better picture/contrast

You get what you pay for at the end of the day

Benq FP241W uses the M240UW01 V0 which is a P-MVA panel, and the Benq FP241WZ uses the M240UW01 V2 panel which is indeed AUO's new A-MVA panel
