I agree optoma hd131xe is also a great machine for this price range

I would go for the optoma too.I had a problem with my HD600x and found their customer service excellent.

I got optoma 131xe for 584 and is great!

wow that's cheap, beats the hd131x hands down I've owned both, the other projectors in the 500 - 800 range don't compare

it's a gem, sharp with incredible detail on any scene (dark or light)

thing to remember is the short throw of this unit (for a 106" screen say it will only need to be about 9ft back, if that). If you need it to be further back then you have a problem

Do you know which glasses you will need for the 3D, passive, active?

Has anyone had any experience of projecting pornography with this unit? My friend wants to know.

active, the dlp compatible ones. Though IIRC passive 3D projectors need special screens to maintain the polarisation.

all gone and I'm not surprised

cracking price , just make sure the throw distance is right for you ..

£619 NOW

Anyone that missed out might want to keep an eye on richersounds, it's been £550 before with a pair of BenQ glasses. Hopefully it'll be sub £500 in not to long.

Yeah maybe but it was £550 for a long time with a free pair of BenQ glasses so I wouldn't be surprised.
