This is for the Nightfall version. Cracking deal IMO.
The Berghaus Air 6.1 Nightfall¸ is a luxury six-person tent made from premium fabrics and features a convenient air inflation system that makes set-up quick and easy. The impressively-sized tent now comes with Nightfall¸ darkened bedrooms that help you enjoy a lie-in beyond sunrise. The Berghaus Air Range is one of the most popular on the market, and with the levels of convenience and comfort that it offers, it's easy to see why. Mesh doors throughout keep insects away and adjustable curtains allow you to balance light levels night and day in the spacious lounge area. The bedroom is removable and comes with a divider that can split into two separate rooms. The air beams take minutes to inflate, and are even easier to deflate, meaning you can spend more time enjoying your weekend in the great outdoors. Once assembled, the beams are super-strong and able to withstand wind and rain to keep you comfortable and safe inside.

sorted byLots to consider. I've recently downgraded to the Air 4 from a 6 person tent - its ample space for 2 or even 3 but the bedrooms would be a bit of squash for 4. The 8 may be too big - some sites have limits on the size of tents or charge you according to the capacity of the tent and not the number of people in it. The bigger the tent - the bulkier and heavier it is.
If you get the 6 and you find its too small - Berghaus air porch is available that you can add on (but its pricey) or you can buy a shelter/kitchen tent (not all sites allow kitchen tents).
You will probably easily fit the tent in the boot but its everything else that will be the problem. You will want some camping chairs, maybe a fold up table, cooking stove, cool box, plates/cutlery/pans, bedding or sleeping bags, air mattress or self inflating mat (SIM), towels plus the usual clothing. With 2 people taking up the back seat, you might need a roof box or camping trailer or both. Don't let that put you off - if you have kids, they love camping.
A good site for camping advice, site reviews and tent reviews is ukcampsite.co.uk. The site design looks like its from the dark ages but the information is useful and the forum members very friendly. They also have discounts with some suppliers eg the roofbox company (5%) but I would try and pick up some stuff second hand. (edited)
Footprint goes under the tent - it helps protect the groundsheet and if the ground is wet, it means the underside of the groundsheet is mostly dry and clean when you come to pack away (instead of getting your possibly dry clean tent - damp and dirty). Some people just use a tarp folded to size but having the footprint means you can get the position of your tent right before you start laying it out and putting it up.
Carpet - adds a bit of warmth and comfort to the living area. You could buy a universal carpet or large backed picnic rug and fold it to size. The Eurohike large tent carpet is 265cm by 280cm and £36 vs the Air 6 carpet (292cm by 250cm and £52 on Millets.)
I would recommend both the footprint and the carpet, especially if you have kids sitting on the floor. (edited)
The Berghaus Kepler range (I have the Kepler 6) is a nice neutral light grey.
Just a note for anyone struggling (as I did) with the valves (they kept deflating as soon as I detached the pump). The valves have an open and closed position which is toggled by pressing the button in the centre of the valve. I'm an idiot and couldn't figure it out for ages. (edited)
I don't sorry but I just bought one yesterday from go outdoors who price matched (same company). It takes up half of my boot which is a seat Leon estate so it's big.
Just measured it, it's about 90x 50 X 40 tall. I've not unpacked it yet so this is out the shop size so may stretch a bit when I shove it back in the case. (edited)
I picked up a secondhand roof box after buying mine to make sure I've got enough room for the tent and all the other associated stuff.
There's not much chance we'd have gotten it all in the boot of out Octavia Estate along with a pushchair.
You can use them both together - the carpet is for inside the tent, the footprint is for under the tent.
I prefer the XL for the porch though
We've had the Air 6 for a few years and think it's an excellent tent.
Besides that, hot deal OP!
I might need to wait til we get a bigger car then, this would take up the whole boot with nothing left for luggage! Thanks for checking, much appreciated. Enjoy your new tent!
Cheers, great feedback
That was a good tip but it looks like the Air 6 carpet is excluded from the YES20 promo - presumably because it's already discounted.
Didn't look at other accessories but just worth noting that not everything is discounted.
I know very little about tents so can anyone advise? I think the 6XL would be the best option but it’s quite a bit more expensive than this one
Going to be testing the tent out tonight for the first time before taking it away the bank holiday.
Set up took us around 30 minutes from beginning to end with two young kids "helping". It'll be much quicker second time round.
Not trying to correct you or anything but it's Bank holiday Thursday and Friday of May
Probably only works on Eurohike stuff - picked up a spare air beam and brow pole (£4) using the code for my air 4
Thanks
You were lucky, the code doesn't work anymore (they must have pulled it.)
