Black one is the same price, just in case you're not pretending to be an 80's drug dealer.

I bought one last time it was on offer and I have to say it is great. Quite easy to assemble and very strong.

bought one last time round too. my mini review can be found here

No you can't, that's what keeps the back attached to the base

Bought one about 2 years back,The covering on the arms just breaks up and looks a mess i wouldn't buy another.

I bought 2 last time (2 years ago) and they are still going strong. I went with a friend to look for a chair for him a couple of days back, both Ikea and Staples only had similar quality chairs over £100.

I think this is still an amazing deal.

I've had several of these and if you don't mind the arms becoming tatty as the fake leather peels and the recline getting knackered so you continually have to sit forward or end up on your head, then it's fine.
Next time around I'll be going for the ikea malkolm (or is it Markus?) as, although it's a lot more, it has a 10yr guarentee.

I bought mine about 5 years ago and its been great. The arms have caught on my crappy low Ikea desk but thats not the chairs fault. Leather has remained quite stiff and not really softwened though.

I have one about 3 years and the covering on one arm became crackled and tatty. I would say the seating position is not that comfortable either.

For the price it's alright.

Have one, uncomfortable and arms become worn quickly

Arent these usually £30? I bought one about 2-3 years ago, its pretty good for the money, though yes there can be some tearing of the arm leather where it meets the chair. I put some better long hexagonal headed bolts in mine as the supplied ones are rubbish quality, abit short and round off easily.

I bought one a few years back and it's lasted well. The padding on the arms and base isnt as good as it was when new but for the price im not complaining.

Viking States 7% cash back on Quidco?

I've had two of these for about 4 years they are v strong for the price

Mine is still going strong after 6+ years Berlin

Got one of these about 8-10years ago. Still going strong!

The "leather" arm rests on my Niceday chair (not sure if it's the Berlin I've got) are intact...it seems to be the silvery plastic at the curve of the arms that's all scuffed. Apart from that, considering I sit on it nearly every day, it looks pretty good...4+ years later.

Got one of these in 1942 and it is still live and kicking!

I think a few of the old timers will fondly remember these going for peanuts around 5 years ago.
Bought one then when I didn't even need it, so flogged it to a family member, then ended up paying twice the price 6 months later.

This is faux leather. The chair is the Most uncomfortable chair ever! I had to put a pillow under my buttocks so it don't get bruised,

Yep!

Picked two up back then and a free CD player!

The black one was made with a different quality to the brown one. Black one had a dodgy patch that became very thin and tore after about 3 years but did get used every day for long periods of time.

The brown one seemed to be a newer revision (the arms were padded and not plastic) and of higher quality and has lasted ages and still going strong!

lol miami vice special.

Ordered one earlier today thanks to this post! Hope it turns out decent!

I have this in black. It's good for the price. The only issue is it squeaks a little if you rock back and forth on the centre point. The arms are not leather either - only where you sit.

Also note, that it can get quite sweaty sitting in the seat. I used it extensively when I was working contracting in the evenings during the summer for 6 months in two consecutive summers. Each time, I found that I could have benefited from a little more airflow to alleviate discomfort.

But, for the price, and occasional use, it's pretty good.

Just bought the black one, hopefully it's ok!

Free fudge and biscuits if you spend over £100, that might be the most tempting promotion I've seen in a long time.

just put mine togther i have to say its quite uncomfy not sure how you can even lean back slightly in these, think ill sell this on and get something else
