Berlin Philharmoniker Christmas Concert - Ho, Ho, Horn!
This time of year just wouldn’t be the same without the Christmas concert of the Philharmoniker’s Education Programme. The same goes for the presenter, horn player Sarah Willis, who once again guided the audience of children and adults through the concert and inspired them to take part in the proceedings. The focus this time was on the horn. Together with her colleagues from the Philharmoniker’s horn section, Sarah Willis presented the spellbound audience with the distinctive, warm tone of the instrument in music from opera and film and from the Classical, Romantic and jazz repertoire. And as always, there was much to laugh and learn about: for example, how long the tube of a horn is when you unroll it (to be precise, as long as a garden hose). Plus, there was a special surprise at the end: one hundred professional and amateur horn players from Berlin, who brought the concert to a full-toned, Christmassy finish.

In the Digital Concert Hall, the concert is shown in an English narrated version.
