Absolute rip-off only half the container is full and they are lying and …Absolute rip-off only half the container is full and they are lying and trying to deceive the consumer.....BOYCOTT! Just like the greedy Flora as well. The only last two decent spreads that arn't trying to rip us off is Lurpak and Clover. Let's support these brands and the ones from Lidl and Aldi -

What are you on about? Who cares if the tub is half full or not? Its the weight that counts.

Anyway, this stuff is generally £1 for 500g most of the time.

Actually saturated fats are much better than the cheap transhydrogenated fats in margarines. Just buy either butter or olive oil.

So if something is cheaper than it is in Tesco then it should go hot according to you? I said Asda and Morrison's anyway not Tesco...

In order to make an informed choice between spreads, flip the tub and look at the nutrition label.

Butters and spreads, depending on the oils used to make them, all contain a range of different fats (saturated, polyunsaturated and monounsaturated) in different proportions, and these should be listed.

Saturated fats boost LDL cholesterol levels, damaging our arteries. In contrast, polyunsaturates lower 'bad' LDL cholesterol and slightly raise good HDL cholesterol. The healthiest fats are monounsaturates, which not only lower bad LDL but boost HDL levels as well.

Always compare the 'per 100g' value as manufacturers may use different portion sizes. A spread with 60g total fat or less helps to your dietary fat intake in check. If you are trying to lose weight, then your goal is a spread providing 40g to 50g fat per 100g.

Choose one that has more monounsaturated fats than saturates - for example, Bertolli or other olive oil spreads.

Best spread available imo.
I bought one a few week ago and the container wasn't empty what are people on about?

Even the none light version has less salt than flora light

Well done, you figured £1 is cheaper than £1.95.. but my point is it's always this price at one of the big supermarkets.. This site is meant to be "HOT" UK deals, how is this a hot price if it's this price all the time at one place or another.
The sheep are voting based on how much they like it rather than it been a hot price..
But C'est la vie..
Hot deal for £1. I buy this all the time so this is a good deal for me. Thanks for sharing op.

What The heck? it's not always £1 it's not rrp so what's the problem? I'm putting it on cos it's coop not one of the big supermarket chains... not all towns/city's have some supermarkets.... coop stores are usually in villages rather than town centers... chill out for God sake.

Your still missing my point.. I'm not saying you shouldn't have posted it or that for some co-op shoppers will find it a hot price, I said in my first post Why the heat when it's this price at Asda and Morrison's? Someone posted the Asda Morrison's bertolli offer a few hours after yours and it didn't reach 100 hot votes, my point been if that went live before yours would it have gone this hot? The answer is no.. that was my point "why the heat"? No other bertolli post has come close to this amount of heat and that includes the heron 2 for £1 post 5 months ago.. that's all guy.. and I'm as chilled as Rudolph's nether regions thanks..

Not every deal is gonna be for everyone, people see different value/worth in different things.
