i agree. The sauce with heinz beans is very watery, I am sure it wasn't like that years ago.
Disgusting the lot of them it's heinz or nothing for me.

These are their standard prices aren't they?
The Stockwell ones aren't bad. Sainsburys own are not good. Got some of the lidl ones in to try

Ideal if you fancy a bubble bath

Lidl blue tins, 4 pack for regular price of 94p, are great! Never actually tried the 22p simply ones, probably exact same as the blue tins! If a supermarket has the 4 pk Branston for £1.25 then I would buy them instead.

I'd have bean more impressed if you counted the number in each can, then gave us a price per bean.

Lot of sauce in the own brands.

Aldi ones are better tasting , I find their taste very close to Branstons. Lidl ones I don’t recommend I ate them couple of times however.

The Tesco own make ones are in my opinion better than Heinz. Better beans / sauce ratio. That said, I've had to stop eating them because I'm tired of holding farts in while in the office.
Branston are best.Tesco own brand not bad either.

The supermarket bean wars of the 90s
Fart

Can I say that mods
Asda`s Own Brand pack of 4 for a quid, I have tried most of the brands and stores own make and Asda`s are
the best, but not their low salt/sugar ones Yech. free bubble bath as bonus

Branston Beans are the superior brand.

I do like the Lidl 4 for £1 ones though too. Not their super budget ones though.
I like the Aldi ones. But in fairness all are ok when you put a couple of tablespoons of Lea & Perrins and same again of HP in the pan and bring to a bubbling boil then add the beans. Spicey and nicey!

Agreed, always ate Heinz but there's something different about them in recent years. If they are cutting back on sugars etc, then I think they have gone a bit too far. I've bean ( ) preferring Branston for a few years.
branston used to be good,,not no more and price has creeped up as well, corale premium quality baked bean in aldi are ones for me,they beat rest hands down on price and quality,go on try them, there nice

I agree. Branston bean sauce is much thicker which I prefer.

I quite like Morrisons own brand too. I don't go in Aldi because the nearest Aldi to us is like a jumble sale and looks quite unclean.
Lot's of "HAS" beans on that list
A squirt of ketchup stirred in while heating can improve most of the cheap beans
I find the Co-Op baked beans to be better than branded with a far better sauce.

32p for a 410g can.

These are the best! I can remember them only being 9p/tin too.

I find that Heinz come out best if you add an extra minute or two in the microwave. The beans are softer and the sauce seems thicker and richer.
@Siddas, I really like that Tip, keep em coming ...
Heinz all the way for me, but i do like the Tesco brand ones which are really nice and only 32p a can
i just like the after effects of all of them
