I always thought that people that bought into the Oasis v Blur rivalry were a bit sad, as it should be about music rather than publicity stunts, designed to sell more copys of the respective albums.

Looking objectively at things, I would say that after Oasis' second album, they established themselves as a band that were only capable of producing 3 corded bland melodies.

Blur on the other hand, came up with several albums which were distintively different from their previous ones, and thats without mentioning the band members solo work.

In terms of price, Oasis' best of album can also be picked up for 'under three quid', and so it should be for albums of this age.
