Betron speakers are awful , returned one few weeks ago , once over half volume looses all quality and crackles and base goes totally .
And outside casing starting coming loose .
They look like Chinese plain branded speakers then Betron add name and sell for about £5 more than unbranded.
Add a little more and go for Anker brand . Great quality for the price .

Maybe you have been unlucky on your one Betron product, I have several and they are well worth the money and work really well.
I got one at Xmas & was very disappointed - muddy sound, weedy bass. I cannot understand the positive reviews - either they are fake or the manufacturer has changed the product for cheaper components.

I've now got an Akai Dynmx which I got in the post xmas sale from Robert Dyas for £18 & it has a lovely sound, decent bass (but annoying beep on startup like the Betron)
Here's a link from Amazon amazon.co.uk/Aka…2PZ
Still at £18 from Robert Dyas: robertdyas.co.uk/aka…gne (although in champagne colour - worth looking to see if they still have grey)

Actually I would say the reviews are from actual buyers, the fake ones normally have loads of photos as they are given free, or discounted, which is what the suppliers want. If you don’t do good reviews with photos you don’t get offered more stuff. I know because used to do AMZ/Vipon reviews for Amazon. Amazon then started deleting these reviews.
The way the sellers got round this was to offer you a Paypal refund once you bought and reviewed the item. I didn’t agree with the practice so don’t do reviews anymore.

The bigger scam is a seller will send you an item, you give it a good rating/review. The seller then changes the item on that web page, so the reviews no longer relate to the item being sold. You think the item has good reviews, but it’s not the item being sold.
Amazon need to stop the seller changing the item description and photo which would stop this practice.
And, my Betron tech is still pretty good

In addition to the above, I, and probably loads of other buyers have been offered £20 to post 3 five star reviews for an item. They tell you which sites they want the reviews on, one being Trustpilot.
I can understand they want to promote their website, but to bribe people to do so makes a joke of reviews,
