is it a national deal?

Will pick up some of these tomorrow to try... I want to make a desert with them

voted hot been eating these all year,
they won an award, in the newspaper,
well deserved, ps, it is dark chocolate topping, really nice,
savour bakes, multigrain crackers also won an award
also really nice,
ta op

Hot Hot Hot for me nothing like a Jaffa cake and cuppa

I think they've been catching on for a while.Keeps getting the Which supermarket of the year award.
McVities are overpriced. There are a lot of supermarket own brand alternatives which are cheaper and better imo.

The recent trend of major brands using Glucose-Fructose Syrup in their products has levelled the playing field. Now supermarket own products can be just as unhealthy with the same sickly aftertaste at a much lower price.

I dont no why people keep going on about aldi for. there cheap brand just like asda morisons or tesco ect....they all do there own cheap crap. its no nicer and no better and no cheaper....

I've converted to these a while ago, do a blind test - you will not be able to tell the difference!

I love these and am off there tomorrow so I know whats going on my list

the sainsburys basics ones are nice - they are drier bases but i kinda like them that way better - will try the aldi ones i dont like the lidl ones

Congratulations. You have just won the BIGOT OF THE
YEAR AWARD. To collect it just go to your nearest ALDI
and show them your post.

yeap I am a fan of the sainsbury basic ones too. Prefer a dry base. the price is fab too. Wonder if the aldi ones are a dry base. May give the m a try.

They're always this price.
Aldi seem to be winning a lot of people over, it's always packed in my local. Wonder if they have any plans for bigger stores.

absolutely. I warm them in the microwave for a few seconds and then put over vanilla ice cream. . delicious

Aldi is superb! You gave to try their Belgian chocolate cheesecake - to die for! Will be trying these now, thanks OP!

hot,

I appreciate a heads up to a deal, so I can see why, taste matters beyond price where food is concerned, & with that in mind i've had some right cr@-p that proclaims to be Tesco's finest.

Used Aldi and Lidl in Germany many years ago and they are not rubbish, it just costs to put frills that are not needed, they are up there with the best of them.Especially the Machries Caramelised onion chutney, MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

I have just been to our newly opened aldi and sat down to a cuppa and mince pie

wow i have never put something so disgusting in my mouth it did not start well when i picked it up and the pastry lid fell of it was awful not the filling that was ok but the pastry was awful

put me off trying anything else ....sorry maybe cheap but its not a bargain if ends up in the bin

Gotta be honest - McVities Jaffa Cakes are overpriced and gross. They're so dry and lacking in the jelly department.

Aldi and Lidl jaffa cakes blow them away HOTTTT

No way are these better then mcvities. Taste cheap and nasty if you ask me.Mcvites for the win every time! !

And maybe while there down there they can pick up the biggest ass kissing award for aldi.People have different tastes and it's not for you to tell people what to like.Me personally I've never had anything decent from aldi and even the customer service is bad like the tasteless food and know many people who think the same and using the word bigot is rather harsh and also pathetic. Now pop on down to your beloved aldi and see if there's any jobs going to make your life complete.

I have to completely disagree with this. Aldi chopped tomatoes are comparable in quality to at least Asda's own chopped tomatoes and NOT their own cheap crap SmartPrice brand. However, price wise, Aldi matches SmartPrice.

The same applies to baked beans. Aldi baked beans are soft and the sauce is not watery. The same can't be said for the disgusting SmartPrice beans.

I could go on...but there is no point wasting my time.

Whilst I agree that Mcvites taste better, they don't taste 2.5x better. Aldi's certainly don't taste cheap or nasty.

What is it about Aldi haters? They don't know the difference between:

"there" and "they're" (muchspreader1)
"there" and "their" (caz01)

Honestly, not only are you making a fool of yourselves with you're ridiculous comments but also your really poor grasp of the English language.

(btw, that was deliberate)

Aldi ones certainly aren't better than Mcvities, I was able to identify the Aldi ones by a funny aftertaste they possessed in a taste test. They aren't bad, but I'd rather pay the 11p extra.

Have I missed the 24 Mcvities Jaffa Cakes for £1 deal?

Where's the love for Sondey brand Jaffas(Lidl)? Imo a superior cake! 79p/24 IIRC.

Excellent. Thanks. Better deal than Aldi as marginally nicer product.

For every great Aldi product (and they are generally great) I reckon Lidl is even better. Especially for fruit and veg as it isn't pre-packed. It's just a shame both brands are becoming the new fashionable middle class talking point as it's getting so busy in there. Personally though, I think all jaffa cakes are massively overrated so you are welcome to them.

The lack of parking spaces drives me cracker's not so much how busy they are. The aisles need widening in our local store big time though.
