Betty Boop-oop-a-dooped her way to the silver screen in the Max Fleischer short Dizzy Dishes on August 8th, 1930. Since then, she's been captivating audiences for over 70 years with her innocent eyes, bodacious body, and curvaceous hips. But she didn't start out as the bubbly bombshell that we know and love today. In fact, at the start of her career, BETTY WAS A DOG. Yes, you read that right - a dog! It was only after
appearances in several Fleischer cartoons that she eventually shed her canine ears in 1932's Any Rags and assumed a human shape, and what a shape! With her AMPLE CURVES and trademark SULTRY SWAY, Betty characterized a sexuality common to the depression era when anything was used to attract a paying audience. Often, the occasional breeze would be known to lift Betty's tiny dress or accidentally force her top off, much to the shock of viewers. And it wasn't just the audience that found itself mesmerized by Betty. Everything and everyone in the Fleischer cartoons fell for her. Lecherous ringmasters, boorish bosses, and a whole myriad of male cartoons attempted to get close to The Boop. But as the years passed and the social climate
changed, Betty's sexy look faded and gave way to a more toned-down, if not less exciting, appearance. But today, in no matter what form she comes, Betty is and will always be an ANIMATION CLASSIC.
Experience the thrill and joy Betty brings to the screen with this special collection 25 cartoons featuring some of her greatest moments.
Includes: Betty Boop's Ker-Choo, Betty Boop's Crazy Inventions, Is My Palm Read, Betty In Blunderland, Betty Boop's Rise To Fame, Poor Cinderella, Baby Be Good, Betty Boop And Grampy, Judge For A Day, Making Stars, Betty Boop With Henry, Not Now, We Did It, A Song A Day, More Pep, You're Not Built That Way, Training Pigeons, Be Human, Whoops! I'm A Cowboy, The Hot Air Salesman, Pudgy Takes A Bow-Wow, On With The New, My Friend The Monkey, The Scared Crows, Rhythm On The Reservation.

Thanks for that, but I simply don’t understand how can they list two exactly same items with totally different price?

So something definitely wrong here.

Theres no end of Betty Boop DVDs released, simply because they are in the public domain so the budget companies all put them out on their own labels, although the Delta release is better than the Elstree release.
But to be honest you can legally download them yourself for free since they are public domain and burn them to a DVD yourself, wont even take that long either as they are small files

Incidentally, that picture sendit have used for the Elstree release is wrong, its actually the one pictured below, and is a single disc release.
