I would have expected Quantic Dreams to have made available Heavy Rain now it is a dated title if there ever was going to be any of their software on PS+, so even if there is a digital download as you say I would also doubt it will be on PS+

I hope you're right turkeyhead that would be a good omen for it being a ps+ game at some point. Fingers crossed anyway. I say this about every game though lol

Heavy rain sold better than this though didn't it?

True, but not all PS+ titles are about releasing with low sales (seems an exception this month with Konami's PES 2014 though)
Any word on a GOTY edition? Has this game had any significant DLC added since its release?

Not that much of an exception, but you are correct they are not all about lower than expected release sales. However, if the sales are lower than original expectations then it is more likely to generate more interest. Less people with a Plus membership will already have the game, and it is likely cheaper for Sony to include if the sales have been poor.

As for regarding this being unlikely due to the fact that Heavy Rain never got released as a PS+ game, Heavy Rain is quite a bit older than most games when they release on PS+, we got inFamous 2, LBP2, Arkham City, all without getting the first game in each series, which to me would seem weirder than not getting an earlier game which is unrelated by the same studio.

LOL...which all leads to a conclusion, we can all speculate and yet there really is no rhyme or reason!

Yeah but let's speculate anyway, because we can.

So what is it to be, gamble and wait for PS+, buy it now and trade it in for the same price currently at CEX, gambling that the price does not drop in the meantime, or wait and gamble on a further price drop at Base, Gameseek, Shopto, Game Collection etc.

Im going to wait for ps plus. But its not so much a gamble, because if you wait so long and you think ok its been 17 years, this isnt going to plus, you can buy in pre owned for 3.99!

Not sure what to do, I mean its a game (story/movie/quick time) you will play through twice for differing outcomes before trading in if you buy it, definitely an ideal title for PS+

I've said this maybe 10 or 11 times before, and so far been wrong every time. This is definately going to be on ps plus. Its a sony exclusive, they've got nothing to lose.

Hopefully that makes it easier for you.

Not really, you still are just speculating, unless you work for Sony.

It is a fairly difficult choice to make, however personally I will keep waiting for either PS Plus or a sub-£10 price, at which point the decision will be all the harder as to whether to wait. I have a fairly large backlog due to Plus so it isn't really an issue for me. If you do not have a backlog, I would seriously consider buying it now as although it will drop further, there is no way to know when and even if it drops to sub £10 in a week, you haven't lost a lot.
so tempted by this. I think I will probably hold out for the inevitable sub £10 price! Voted hot though
For the sake of £1.99 I decided to buy now for fear of it going back to £24+ As I would never pay that for this genre of game.

Roughly £15+ everywhere else at the minute
Ordered, used TCB and heat added, thanks op!

Got a PS3 3 days ago... came with 6 games (only 2 of which I was actually interested in, going to sell the others). Bought 4 games which will easilly keep me occupied for at least 300 hours alone... and now I'm considering getting this too heat added.
Time to bite (close enough to £10), ordered. Thanks for posting!
In the old days I would have snapped this up right now - probably even bitten the bullet much earlier. However, I still have The Last of Us and 3 Tomb Raider titles to even start! So I shall 'try' and finish these before I even consider this game, despite LOVING Heavy Rain.

Finding it harder and harder to pull myself away from the PS4 though. Have a feeling I might start Tomb Raider Underworld tonight.
After The Last of Us, this is easily one of the best console games ever made. If you enjoyed Heavy Rain, you'll love this too. Ellen Page puts on a cracking performance, both voice and motion capture.
For the amount of hours play you get the price is worth it. On top of that it's beautiful to look at and the story is good. Don't expect too much gameplay though, more like an interactive movie.
It's a fantastic game. Sold my copy, seriously reconsidering re buying!!

Well worth the money, a DVD/blu rays £10+ and with this you get to play along!! Heat
Good game but very sad... ... sob sob
