Bear in mind that these consume electricity all the time regardless of whether anything is plugged in or not

Can you back that up with anything? If no device is drawing any current then they shouldn't...

Shame our Homebase has closed down
Costco have them at same price but in pack of 2 for £9.50 yiu also need a membership
Minimal power consumed when left unused. But do consider that they are 2.1A - shared. Lots of devices use 3.1A do these will charge more slowly when plugged into these sockets.
Been this price for months.

Have a look on Screwfix it's answered by the manufacturer.
Is it safe to leave my usb lead plugged in to this and running to my bedside wireless phone charger constantly?
I leave my phone on charge overnight on bedside table, but will probably forget to unplug when I get up.
Any advice would be appreciated
I'll wait till they have ones that draw zero watts. Not in a rush. I'm sure someone will do it sooner or later.

Not exactly that, but that would be cool

I never quite understand why 2.1 amps shared is worth the purchase, not these days anyway.

Powers my Roku stick on my wall mounted TV quite well, smart meter display, echo dot, neos smart cam etc. I don't use them for phone charging though...
Oh yes, for a specific purpose, no probs, but for general (e.g. phone/tablet/switch) useage, you may be disappointed.

I wouldn't dream of plugging high draw devices into these sockets. I have about 10 in my house and they provide power to low draw devices like Rasp Pi, blink cameras etc.

When you have your 1001 Device's plugged in via it's USB socket's (with it's then trailing USB cable's allllllll over the place, or whatever), do you then find those trailing cable's as obtrusive to any of the 2 remaining 3-pin wall socket plug's beneath it them then?, or ... thanx.

No idea what you mean by that! Is your keyboard broken?

how easy are they to install
Anshuo08/03/2020 21:24

Same here

And here. I've had three convenient stores around me close.

And since they've closed Homebase have had a number of good offers I can't take advantage of!
