I already did a quick search and it doesn't appear to :-(
I haven't caught a single one and I've been on it all day on off

Ouch, rough day - I have a few spares - see if they help in any ways?
Thanks heat added
Heat 🔥 added thanks op.

It's a good price, heat for the deal!

Personally I rather stick to the plug version, although not as neat a solution, there is no wiring required (I also managed to buy a dozen plug units for under £20 from a previous Amazon deal posted on here)
I haven't seen this model before - does anyone know if it can be flashed? What's the interface like?

How do I find them
damn you hotukdeals, I've gone & ordered 2 of them. It was the GIFT05 voucher that tipped me over the edge.
Thanks OP....didn’t even know these existed, so had to order 3
Would buy straight away if it had USB.

I've not seen these before but it's a WiFi controller behind the scenes. Doubt it's an ESP, but you never know. I've seen a review saying it works on WiFi but not 4G, which is promising because that probably means it doesn't rely on a cloud service to operate. Better still local traffic can be sniffed so there's a good chance it can be reverse engineered to play nicely with OpenHAB/HomeAssist/etc.

Where did you read about local network integration? I can't find anything about that, apart from maybe using the Smart Life app and similar to the Teckin plugs, not for homeassistant yet. If no-one has an intercept worked out for the app, you will need the cloud-based service.

Thses should be good quality sockets anyway, same company group as Masterplug.

It's not mentioned anywhere specifically, but there's a question on the Amazon page where the sockets appear online when their phone is on the wifi, but offline if their phone is on 4G. This makes me think there's a local connection available. It'll need a local connection to update the WiFi connection details too, so there might be another access option there.

Edit to add: The Q&A on the Screwfix site claims it doesn't rely on a cloud service (doubt that's 100% true) and that it uses a BL3335-P WiFi chip

no

I
Is there any other model that does? Thank you
Out of interest what electrical items do people use these for?
I use mine for a lamp and a dehumidifier.
At the moment I can name my Belkin adapter plug "TV" so I can tell Alexa to "turn TV off". Is this the case with these units? Can you name the left plug TV and the right one lamp for example?

Just need it in chrome with usb charger and less than £10 #moononastick

If they are the same model that I purchased from Screwfix and you are using Google Assistant, then yes. There are some reviews on Screwfix saying that Alexa does odd things with the sockets
I orderd 2 of these, supposed to be delivered today, got an email from Amazon saying they are "still trying to obtain the items" and no info on a proposed delivery date.
