More chance of a good blow from my missus than this.......

These USB powered fans are a waste of time.

A few folk switched to them when my old office banned desk fans (they claimed it interfered with the air-con - we reckoned the cheapskates simply didn't want to pay the electricity cost to run them any more). They were, without exception, rubbish.

If you stuck your face right in front of it, you got a faint breeze. But that was about as good as it got.

New work are fine with proper desk fans so I have one of those again now.

surprisingly good- but cheaper elsewhere.

B&M. Bargains £4.99 Works fine, one on my desk has been running 8 hours a day for 5 days a week for the last year.

If you can afford the extra £3, and work allow such things, get this:

argos.co.uk/sta…htm

... instead.

It's like a hurricane next to a USB fan ...

I've bought a few of these. The ones from B&M are the best for moving air, they're noisy though. you can get them from china for £2.50ish delivered but they're not as good, they don't move as much air. I also have one of the metal versions, they move air but are very noisy.

Argos ebay were selling these for £4 odd a few months ago:

homebase.co.uk/en/…084

They're excellent, virtually silent and move a ridiculous amount of air for their size. I've been using two of them in the bedroom and retired a normal fan in favour of these.

I second the one from Homebase, its really good for its size, had mine a few years, works really well, and is almost silent.
Got mine from Argos for about £6.00 but that was a few years ago.
