Paid £28 for this in 2014. It's great, is still going strong and gets used every other weekend or so. My tool tray was missing one of it's fixing bolts but has survived with the single bolt so far. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat, particularly for this price.

Only thing I'd say is if you're going to do bike washes on this, you want to wipe down the telescopic bits (bit of GT85 might not go amiss either) because the water starts producing surface rust very quickly.
this is identical to the lidl ones.

Is the lidl one not more expensive?
A phrase you won't hear often.
If is the same as the Lidl one then I fully recommend. Heat added as is £3 cheaper (and includes delivery)

was looking at the lidl one yesterday - was 25quid
so good to know this is the same but cheaper, especially as lidl wont have it all the time
It looks nearly identical to my Lidl one, and yes is cheaper. Bargain.
aldi one looks better quality? more legs.
thanks OP, was thinking of getting one like this for a while. ordered!
I'm thinking, could this also be used as a way of making a bit of space in a garage that has 5 bikes squeezed into it. I thought if I could raise one bike up it might permit another to sit up against it. Anyone who has one I'd be grateful if they thought it might help...I realize its not an ideal solution but in addition to a useful repair stand it may also have another use?

i would consider just hanging some from the ceiling if that is a possibility. would be cheaper too. just have two loops of rope

Once you've got the thing set up the legs take up a huge amount of space - at least 1m2. Look into bike hooks, they're only a quid each and you could just hang all five bikes via the front wheels.
'Tis a good price. I bought what looks like a very similar one off Ebay, but it was over £26
It's a perfectly good stand, no problems so far, surprisingly robust and steady, even with a heavy mountain bike on it.(_;)

May look into hooks, unfortunately wall space is also limited with storage shelves etc.!!

Re hooks, any particular type/source you could suggest? Thanks

Those kind, you can get them at your local discount shop/hardware store for far less. All you need is a beam or similar to screw into.
clarkey1976

cheaper than halfrauds and available in singles for unicycles

Gotcha, thats great thanks.
Seriously tempted by this! Most stands on Wiggle/Evans are over £100. I need to get something soon, doing anything to a bike whilst it's on the floor is next to impossible!

Is this worth a punt then? Heat regardless OP, for being cheaper than Lidl
I'm going to look at ceiling hooks for my bike storage problems but have purchased one of these as well...to actually use as a work stand! Seems to get the thumbs up from most reviewers and that was when it was priced more than it currently is on offer for. Camel confirms the price is right.

I found this link to a YouTube review buried in the Amazon reviews, its pretty in depth and again suggests a good buy. Thought it may help some make their mind up - youtube.com/wat…UqI

Now £27 plus £3 delivery :(. Shame I was just about to buy one
Balls, I must have missed it by seconds! I'm sure it was the right price when I first put it in my basket...

I think the consequence was that they didn't buy one!

As Mightywhites29111971 pointed out, the consequence was that I decided not to buy one and I suspect I was not alone in that decision. You'll have to trust me on this, but I promise you I really can live without this item.

ah yes play it forward eh
So, does anyone that bought one have any feedback for me? I've set up a price alert in the hopes of a repeated drop but I'm not hopeful. eBay have something almost identical for £25.

What is it like? I'm only an amateur so I don't want to spend hundreds but I'm fed up of working on bikes on the floor, it's killing my back
They are good. If you spend much time working on bikes they're worthwhile. Less bending, and easier to do stuff where the wheels need to turn as they're off the ground. I have the lidl one for 25 quid, and I think it's great.

They are NOT good for bike storage, they take up more room when "up" than a bike alone would. There are alternative products for that.

I picked mine up yesterday (BT post code) so was offered a convenient UPS pick up location near me.
Easy to put together had it build in under 10mins. Placed one bike in the holder to see how it felt.
will post some pics later if i get a chance :-)
Grrr, is the Lidl one a worthy alternative as I think my local has them in.

I'm guessing the price will be pretty static from Amazon
