About this deal

Just looking at the NEBO NE6908 Big Poppy Rechargeable Camping Lantern and Flashlight with Powerbank deal on Amazon and noted that Screwfix has reduced the Big Larry work lights. Not the rechargeable version but decent in any event.

Lots of stock available.

Its not Big Larry 2, it is a Big Larry, the 2 version has a torch on top, this model is just the COB light, still a good light, but NOT the 2.

The look on the missus's face when you tell her you've bought her a rechargeable "Big Larry"

Then she gets disappointed when she realises it is not rechargeable and she has to buy batteries.

I got the missus one of these for Christmas. I thought she’d be disappointed but you should’ve seen her face light up when she turned it on

One of the most annoying things about the Big Larry 2 (which this isn't) is being blinded by the torch on the front if you just want to use the side COB light. Also it's too unwieldy due to it's weight and when it falls off whatever you have stuck it too it will dent whatever it lands on (the light output isn't that great either)

Personally unless you really need a really heavy torch with average light output I would avoid but heat for the price.

Can anyone recommend anything that's rechargeable, can't be arsed with changing batteries

Depends what you mean by rechargeable. I can recommend you torches that take rechargeable lithium batteries but you need a charger for them. Better than the actual torch being rechargeable, though, imo, as you can have spares ready to swap over and also a dedicated charger is likely to be better for the batteries.

Heat for the price but really don’t get what the fuss is all about with these, light not that amazingly strong, and they r seriously heavy so if they drop they will damage themselves and the thing they drop on
