Big Medium pumpkins - only 50p at Morrisons

66
Found 5th Oct 2015
As above -

I've put big medium as a lot of the pumpkins for 50p were the same size as the large ones that are currently £1.50 each.

8 pumpkins per transaction, should keep you going.

Enjoy

Looks like you found the big ones of the bunch

Great for cooking but if you want one for carving up at Halloween, these will probably be soft by then. Bargain price though.

i bought last year they were fine for halloween, just keep in a dry place.

Love the title, nice find maccy, hope your well

Mine come from the local farm, worth a trip out to find em, quality over & above a supermarket "tiny" offering...

Now mine are all free, I carve a few for the farmer in his pumpkin selling season.
Ones like this...

If anyone is near Peterborough / Cambridge (or anywhere inbetween) ..this is the place to go
FRESHFIELDS, BENWICK ROAD, RAMSEY FORTY FOOT, RAMSEY
PE26 2XU HUNTINGDON , CAMBRIDGESHIRE

They also grow the white pumpkins (though they are premium price) ...and this year setting aside some of the field for proper PYO so you can charge around the field (bring wellies) & find a decent proper pumpkin for a few quid that will make yours "the daddy" pumpkins in the street, so large they can become a bit intimidating.

Sorry, I love my pumpkins! ..remember either stick em all in a tub of bleachy water if not fo eating, OR in milton type fluid if they are, helps slow mocrobial attack & rot! ...stick em on a bit of cardboard & turn em every day or 2 to help prevent soft spots

..this is what he grows, (& all sizes inbetween) ..those would be £2-3 each based on last few years prices

Nice work Haritori, & I love the shaded stomach, it fits really well.

To everyone considering carving a pumpkin, it's disposable art do it justice, don't use cr@ppee blade sets from the supermarket, IF you wish to be the pumpkin "daddy" in your street then a B&Q (blue box) aluminium craft knife sets which used to go for £1 as specials, then get online, find a decent hardware / hobbyist store which sells the Xacto fine blade saw, X215 (Sold in sets of 5) ..looked after (clean acidic pumpkin juice off, will last you many many pumpkins) ...you will surprise yourself & motivate the kids big time!
The X-ACTO #15 Keyhole Saw Blade is a precision instrument engineered to make small interior cuts in different craft materials. Designed to deliver a reliable cut even after extended periods of use, this saw blade is flexible enough to work intricately with delicate materials while sturdy enough to make solid cuts through metal.

The #15 Keyhole Saw Blade by X-ACTO works with the following craft materials:

Plastic
Soft woods
Thin metals
Foam
And more
