Big reductions vs. RRP on Factory Refurbished Mechanical Keyboards @ Scan PC

I've been looking for a replacement mechanical keyboard for some time and noticed that Scan PC are doing some very good reductions vs. RRP for factory refurbished models.

Postage of approx £5 need to be added.

I just ordered a Corsair K70 for £60 - a reduction of £50 against price when new.

I can't vouch for the condition until I receive mine but it's a great discount and there seems to be plenty of stock available.

Note that they are supplied with a 12-month 'Return to Base' warranty.

Some people may say that £60 is expensive for a keyboard, but I hope this helps someone in the market for a good quality gaming keyboard.

K70 is great, really pleased with mine (Cherry Red), almost tempted to try one with brown switches at that price.

Factory refurb needs a wash in the sink? How about you just stop.
2nd hand keyboards are a no from me full stop
Good prices, but I can't do second hand keyboards! My OCD goes through the roof
Nothing wrong with them I ordered a K70 rapidfire RGB 2 days ago I t came as new! Sealed by Cosair.

I have the K70 with brown switches. Easily the best keyboard I've ever used, absolutely love it.
Brown switches ok for typing/office based use? Do they click loud? Never used a mechanical before.
I'd imagine factory refurbish is essentially new? maybe returned for small issues, fixed and resold or maybe even slightly scuffed up /damaged boxed new stuff?
I'm sure there is no hairs (or worse!) between the keys

Yeah, that’s the problem with buying second hand, a lot of people don’t wash their hands after visiting the bathroom.

Exactly that. It’s one thing buying a keyboard 2nd hand from private eBay sellers and another buying factory refurb ones. Factory refrebs have been professionally cleaned and disinfected

Well, crg52 certainly believes that you have visited the factory and watched that happen.

Honestly I doubt it. Not much profit in these thing to start with (especially if they need a new circuit board, or new LEDs welding) and cleaning a keyboard well takes quite a bit of time. They probably just get a quick wipe.

Not sure where you get that there isn’t much profit in keyboards. Cost wise the price to build between a £30-40 mechanical keyboard isn’t all that much different to a £200 one.

And cleaning a keyboard doesn’t take all that much time, certainly less time than testing for defective parts and replacing them as it won’t be done by hand

But these are being sold for £50. We've had deals for Scan Corsair keyboard refurbs before and usually people report having to send them back twice to get a decent one.

Just to appease the nay-sayers. The keyboard arrived today. I can confirm that it is in as-new condition with no noticeable marks or signs of use. It is in a plain box but plastic wrapped and I am happy to have got it for such a great price.

I genuinely hope that someone benefits from this deal and sees through all the negativity posted on this thread.
Why are there so many Corsair refurbished keyboards out there? Never see refurbished mechanical keyboards from any other manufacturer?

I have seen Corsair keyboards used extensively at games expos (e.g. CEX, EGX, etc). Maybe these are the ones that have been used in demo models there?
Just picked up the Strafe RGB Cherry MX Brown as a replacement for my CoolerMaster Quickfire TK Cherry MX Brown. It should arrive by tomorrow. Some great deals there if you use red leds for your setup.

Keyboard arrived in refurb packaging (generic brown box with corsair stickers). The keyboard looks brand new and has no signs of use. I'm very happy with the purchase. Thanks OP!

Same, Thanks OP!
Received my k70 lux red, cherry reds. Came in a brown box likes others. Put this under a bright white light and checked over... Can't fault it no hairs or finger prints, only "use" that can be seen is the rubber grip on the bottom had a small scratch on it.
