This for new customers?
VM are terrible as a business and employ terrible people so be cautious.
New customers will only enjoy this for the first contract term and you’ll get nothing close to this for any other renewal.
As soon as you have to deal with them be very careful of their lies and make sure you double check anything and everything carefully as they will try and find a way to screw you, as that’s their business model.

I wish I could say it’s a one off, but their service is going downhill and they’ve screwed me and several other people I know over in one way or another.

I been with them since cable and wireless then ntl and now virgin media they have never in all my years tried to con me whatever the price it’s been that price I always hustle them for the best deals if it’s not to my liking I shut the phone call back till someone gives me a deal I’d be happy with

I agree they are terrible for customer loyalty and trying to fleece us. So are the rest. I leave join sky, then come back as a new customer I never pay full price. They along with sky will tell you lies to get you to stay after 12 months is up. Ie there's no deals now you are getting the best price. Ignore that and leave.

You must have some magic powers of persuasion. I’ve tried that on a lot of occasions in the past and it keeps going up. Tbf, my old man has been with them probably as long as you have and is paying some disgusting figure per month for less than me. No consistency I guess
I've been with Virgin ever since they purchased Telewest (anyone remember them) and have watched the service get worse and worse and dearer and dearer. It has got so bad that I have decided that the next time I get an email stating that the price is rising again (every March and November) then I am leaving. I have also read how difficult Virgin make it to leave - e.g. 'transferring you to the Retention Team' who never pick up and you eventually hang up. When you do that then you have never cancelled!
They increased the money in a month stay clear.
Got it for 78 as an existing customer. Not great but I had my broadband with virgin and TV with sky until recently and was paying more than that so I'm happy enough

I was on virgin chat yesterday. I have virgin b/b only. I got him down to £69 and waived the £35 fee but turned it down. Why should existing customers pay more?
here is me trying to look for a good deal and play virgin and sky against each other. i want virgin as they are cheaper. i`m a sports fan and with now bt and sky being able to show the football on there platforms i think i go to sky. any ways of getting it cheaper. i always tell them i`m stuck in contract and they will give me a cashback to break the contract. but any other tips ?

Quote this deal to them
VM is a terrible company. Their service is bad and their customer service is atrocious. All they care about is money.
Just got the same package but with 200gb fibre for £60 after I cancelled my contract

They were trying to contact me within a couple of days of me cancelling. I answered the phone with 10 days to go until my contract was up .

you must be out of contract as that a very long commitment as Telewest merged with NTL and then merged with Virgin, in 2006. i was only with Virgin for 3 years before i moved to BT, and will move back again in about 3 months as it's cheaper that BT. cancelling is very simple, if you want to leave say so, if you want to haggle, give a current running offer to compare to, but Virgin don't always offer good retention deals

I have found my original contract dated 28th January 2005. Broadband only was £4.50 a month and the basic package that I took out for B/B, TV, and phone line was £15.00 a month. WOW!

You are talking dial up then, probably <500kb speed, ring them and see if they can pricematch

They wanted to increase my TV with sport, 100mb broadband and tel package from £85 to £97 - told them where to stick it

Who can recommend Sky or BT ?
