I have the 22" version and I think they are great value. PS3 via hdmi looks excellent. Freeview is also good.
Excellent tv for bedroom/kitchen or those on a budget.
Don't compare it with Sony, Toshiba etc.

So does "as new" mean that this is refurbished stock?

Secondhand would be more my idea of an accurate description. A 22 quid reduction off £160, for someone's cast-off. What's that, about 14% off?

Refurb is a different category, in sales-speak it usually means it was bust first, then patched up and sent back out for nearly the price of a new one! The cardboard box is often in better condition in these cases - For those who are connoisseurs of cardboard boxes ;-)

So many people on this site are drawn to this sort of thing, and while I would be happy to buy such things at about 25% the full going rate, the trivial reductions that people consider worthwhile leave me frozen and amazed

'As new' in Bigpocket terms is used. Better spend the extra £20 quid @ Amazon and get a brand new product + fantastic customer service if ever things go wrong.

Thanks for the heads up though trytrytryagain - no offence intended

Don't touch with a bargepole - plenty of other deals on new, fully guaranteed TVs.
