Back for 2010, Bigtrak! You might remember having one of these in the early 80's. Retro and cool, it's brand new for 2010. If you are of a certain age, you either owned one or wanted one. It is also a great educational toy for children! This programmable educational toy is a six-wheeled tank with a front mounted blue photon beam headlamp used for firing. The centre wheels are driven by two motors to allow change of direction. Use the 23-button keypad to enter instructions for Bigtrak. Where do I want Bigtrak to go? In what direction? How many units will it take to reach my goal? When do I want Bigtrak to fire? Do I want Bigtrak to return to me along a different course? With a 16 command memory, Bigtrak will execute 16 commands in one sequence, e.g. 'go forward 5 lengths', 'pause', 'turn 30 degrees right', 'fire phaser' and so on. There is a 'repeat' instruction allowing simple loops.

Retro hot deal

Prices on these dropping like a stone !
They'll be giving them away with cornflakes soon

Saying that, these were good 30 years ago !!

Heated up for nostalgic value.

my little brother had one back in the 80's , massive let down then- best left as a bad memory(_;)

Still waiting for the trailer to be released............bigtrak website says early 2011.

Sure funny seeing these around again, always wanted one as a kid, although I think the wonders of a programmable toy, will seem rather basic to today's children, although it would probably help them learn about route planning!.Still, I don't really think that's their target audience, it's the parent's like me!.:D Great price, have some retro heat.

Apprently...Bigtrailer - Release date early 2011 £17.99

Seriously, how long would this actually keep you entertained?

You open the box, get all excited then....

Make it go forward a bit, the left a bit, right a bit...

80's rubbish that should have been left there.

With the size of modern homes and 30 somethings interested in these, I doubt they would even get much use either, I wanted one as a kid...but I honestly think that if at all the Bigtrak Jr is better, less clutter and more likely if at all to be used more.

I bought my little lad one for £14.99 from Boots at Christmas.... its a bit crap. They've changed it to 3xD cell batteries instead of the old 4xD and 1x9v. Its way underpowered and ours couldnt even turn on carpet, it just sat there humming!!! I googled it and its a common fault, Zeon (who market it) were great, they fixed it by putting in a new 3-way switch and it now works OK (but not great!) AND they refunded my P&P which I thought was good CS.

Overall, a good 2-3 day retro session.... then retired to the back of the toy chest

they should really have updated it a bit
making them PC programmable could hav gone some way to that
i too wanted one as a kid

These were crap when i was a kid & i would say there still crap now best left in the 80s imo

Yer was like "Da bomB" wayyyyy back, but when you actually played with it, it sucked lol!

Still a good price if anyone wants to reminisce!!

That's from Play, this is from Amazon, so not actually a dupe, but what is it with HUKD and Amazon??!!

The deal from Play (exactly the same) peaked at 37 degrees. The Amazon deal here is currently around 200 degrees and still going strong....

The play one is £24.49 now

Apologies, my mistake.

Yeah, it is slightly odd that Amazon price matches usually get significantly hotter than the original deals.

Great nostalgia value. Fond memories of sending this into the living room to wake the dog up with a few 'photon blasts'. Programming the thing was an epic task.

Then you could load all your little plastic soldiers/star wars figures on it etc. Thought it was great when I was a kid.

cold, was crap and a waste of money when i was a kid, still is.

Thanks for this great deal! It has been featured over on the HUKD blog ]Playpennies!
