Just think, about 20 grocery trips would pay for itself.

My knees are shot so cycling more often. A 20 minute cycle along the canal towpath takes me straight to Tesco/ Aldi.

Great deal.
i have this. For the money its excellent value. It's sturdy stable. The coupling to the bike is simple and strong. The handles make it very easy to pilot around a shop, so the security aspect isnt really an issue.

I rode it back from Morrisons last week, with about 25kg on board, It rolls really well. The spring in the coupling is top quality, filters out any vibration or 'tug' from the trailer when loaded.

Its manufactured in Germany. Hot.

Yeah. Would padlock it with bike while shopping
Could put the dog in this and cut a hole in the top so it can stick its head out lol

61cm x 42cm worth of toilet rolls

I agree, as total width is marked as 59 cm it would be hard for the smaller part to be 61 cm!

Just walk round Aldi with it as your own trolly doesn’t need to connect to a bike

Steel frame and 10kg empty - so almost doubles the weight of a mid range bike. I suspect most uses would be better off with panniers. Looks good though!

Don't think there's a handle on it to pull it around shops though. But good idea
I moved house using a similar trailer that could take 100kg. Took about 10 journeys but was worth it.
A good idea not fully thought thru
Add a handle and third balance point , waterproof cover and better locking so you can take it shopping then charge a bit more
You will have created a mass market
Could you fit a body in this?

It literally has two handles on it lol. They're specifically there so that you can move it around easier when it isn't attached to a bike.

But I'd need at least one hand free to pick items up in a shop. It's apparently pretty heavy without anything in it. It'd be a good workout for my arms though coz can't get to the gym LOL
Neat
I voted cold on this based on you suggesting people panic buy and stock up for weeks!

You tow it, not carry it!

Panniers are fine up to a point; I do my weekly shopping that way. But, a couple of bulky items such as toilet rolls and cereal and you don’t have much room for anything else. Generally I have to make two trips a week to get everything home.

I have this trailer. It rolls really easily. In no way heavy.
I've had something like this for about five years - maybe not so well made. It's OK but I prefer the trailers that hitch to the back wheel axle (I got one of pet trailers - also german made - from Amazon warehouse for around £20 a few years back). They bounce around less when unloaded and are less likely to snake or push/pull under load on hills. I also used to carry spare coach bolts/washers as I've had them snap under load (where the "handle" fastens to the "basket" of the trailer). The stand was also pretty pointless.

All this said, I've probably exceeded the rated weight quite a number of times. Once I had to take a five mile detour as I could not even push the bike and trailer up the first hill due to the mass of the packs of tiles I was carrying. Not a mistake I made again!

Lastly, make sure you keep the wheels well inflated - it will make a big difference to the perceived work involved in towing.

I'd imagine most people in the UK live within 1 mile of a supermarket. In which case it would take a lot more than 20 grocery trips by car to cost over £50.

Thanks to the chainsaw, I got off here yesterday, I can get the wife and the mother-in-law up to the woods in this.It will save leaving DNA in the car boot and then dump it in the canal afterwards, the best nifty fifty I have ever spent!

Moving house with a bicycle? Greta May have just found her future husband.
59x144 means it'll fit most UK car seats. Worth thinking about...
