As per title really. Its a bike carrier which holds 2 bikes and its down to £39.99 plus an additional 10% off added at basket stage.

Bargain from what I can see.

Unless you are also towing a trailer or unless you have very high taillights and very low number plate, to be legal you'll have to factor in a new number plate and a lightboard as with bikes on you are likely to be hiding both. Your pic is actually of the high mount rack as Halfords dont show the low mount pictures.

They're not cheap, so maybe better going for their high mount one at £53.99 at checkout here: halfords.com/web…515

funny you say that. the picture on their website looks like a high mount one. Only when reading the reviews depending on car some need a lightboard. I agree prob worth paying the extra for the high mount ones.

Can these be used without a car?

I suppose if you want to you could strap it to your back using bungee straps and carry the bikes that way

What do you mean by "without" a car?

Not voting - but I hate these things on back of cars zooming along at 50, the driver cant see out the back of his rear window, always think they going to fall off.

A bike fell off my fiance's car but thats because she didn't secure it properly. If you follow the instructions then you shouldn't have to worry.

And these are far easier to use than the roof mounted ones. Unless you have a very light bike, it's a right ballache trying to lift a bike onto the cars roof!

I don't own a motor vehicle.I need a way to get my bike from A to B.

Could you not ride it from A to B?

Or were you hoping to attach this to the back of a bus? Not sure how much they'd charge for that.

Interesting. The pic says holds 2 bikes but there are 3 on the pic.

Don't think this one would be any good for my car. Shame, looks a hot deal.

why not eat it, get a bus and then be sick ?

Could I actually take this onto the bus though? They don't usually let me on with just my bike.

The photo is of the wrong item. This is the low mount 2 cycle carrier which is a self assembly kit. The price is the normal selling price, in fact it has gone up since last year. The £59,99 is the inflated pre easter price for this promotion.

Here is the 3 cycle version at Argos argos.co.uk/sta…htm much more rigid as it has side straps and is made by the same people.

Yes they do fit most normal bikes. That way, you can carry up to two extra just in case.
