Hot from me, it's a surprisingly decent stand and for that price a no-brainer if you need one.

Amazing value. Can the pedals be spun on this stand for gear maintenace?

great stand, bought one for our local cycle club, really good quality, hot

Thanks

Bought! With extra 10% British cycling. Thanks

Bought similar but 4 legged (more stable?) recently on-line for same price. Very useful. If this is anywhere near as good it's a surprisingly good buy for Halfords so hot!

Lots here too if the Halfords deal doesn't suit:

Don't know If I should go for the Amazon one or the Halfords one now! Any thoughts? Many Thanks

They all look pretty similar so go for whatever is most convenient. The Halfords one would be easier to return if it doesn't suit (assuming store is nearby) but I'm very happy with my 4 legged one from an Amazon seller.

Weakest point is likely to be the clamp at the top of the vertical tube which stops the horizontal arm from rotating - so that you can keep various frames at the angle you want them. I've also read that some people have had problems with the stops on the legs breaking but mine has been fine. I've lost track of exactly which one/which supplier mine is but many of them are the same items re-branded.

Found it - it was this one (slightly more expensive now but free postage and delivery was fast):

Excellent reviews too but I'm not knocking the Halfords one which I haven't seen.

Looking more closely at the Halfords picture I think it may have 4 legs after all - poor photo may be hiding the 4th leg.

Halfords one is 4 legs, got mine today, got even better deal, mine was a display version, so got another 25% off the £27, so came at £20.25.

Didn't get any instructions though, if someone could scan and send in to me I would be grateful.

Thanks.

what in an hour, surely if more people are cocking there bikes up that means more fixes for the lbs, it hurts me also to see shops like lbs's and other similar shops going off the street but it hasn't got anything to do with people trying to fix there own bikes, and i only really see that as a benefit, the people that can learn and fix there own will do and thats cool, and those that try and fail take it to a bike shop and the bike shop benefits, and put some gloves on , it will stop your hands getting dirty

I bought one of the versions of this on Amazon (there are 5 different versions with seemingly nothing different - maybe the colour of the vices).

Very Very good stands. Serviced my bike on one yesterday and was very easy to set up lock in position.

Feet on the Halfords one are different - they're flat whereas the ones on Amazon seem a little more substantial.

my mate got the lbs to fix his rear brake they couldnt, so charged him £90 to put on a deore back brake set, I bought the slx front and rear set for £80-85 on merlin fitted in an hour after cutting cables down
If your capable far easier to diy it

Gr8, thanks ordered.

Funny that. I took my bike back for "free first service" and found it shifted much better once I'd adjusted the gears following YouTube guidance. If LBS are going out of business then perhaps it's because they're no good. You really don't need much skill to do most jobs on bikes. Plus your LBS can't help you when you're on a big ride in the middle of nowhere. Some self sufficiency is good.

Price had gone back up to £50!

I got mine for £20 as they messed up my click and collect order and had to go back the next day
