Great price, heat

These are lighter than shimano pdr 540. So does it mean they are better?

Thanks, great price, ordered.

great find....heat added

well no?! bearings are very important! bit at this price it's worth a shot if you're in need for a set!

Got a be worth a punt.. what the heck use as your winter gear..

thanks OP

what shoes you need for these

Look like Look/Shimano style. Wonder how good the clips are, might be an amazingly cheap way to have a stack of clips for Shimano pedals. I go through loads a year commuting

Great. Ordered. Thank you

Hmmm It's a bit sus at this price quality-wise, I have had my shimano spd with sh51 cleats for 3 years now with daily use. I've never had this style before is the an advantage?

sadly not available in Durham or Newcastle.

It's personal what pedals and cleats a rider prefers.

SPD-SL (road pedals) are lighter, offer firm connection and support in the pedal, and can help avoid 'hot foot' due to their larger surface. However, they are trickier to 'clip into', as they are one sided pedals.

SPDs are easier to clip in as they are two-sided, but they offer less support and surface area. Usually used by mountain bikers as they are more robust than SPD-SL cleats.

As a roadie, I much prefer SPD-SL, but do use SPD on my mountain bike.

Halfords you say ....

forget it

Just picked them up, good quality and a real bargain. Many thanks Dodgy!

I use SPD for a road bike. Double sided, walkable shoes, possible to use without cleats. Win Win.

Can anyone post a link please?

The one I ordered couldnt be found so they gave me some boardman ones and reduced them £20 to a fiver

All gone now? can't seem to find them on the website..

I got my ones yesterday. the price was so tempting. the pedals look OK . but one of the pedals don't spin freely so it may just near wearing in . the cleats are plastic so that is a concern but what do you expect for a fiver . thanks op .oh I noticed the link is taking you to halfords site. the link previously took me to the halfords eBay outlet .
