I'm sure there's been an exposee on this company?

Not that I know of I'm using them now and they are very good.

There's 1 free no obligation lesson. I have booked it and my instructor phoned me I am not free. And also asked me if I book 5 lessons then only get free one and nothing is free. Bla bla bla.....And first two hour is theory. I agree with him and discussed timing with him. On the day of the first lesson I was waiting for him. He didn't arrived. After few more minutes 10-15 min I think he text me that I am sorry I can not make it today as I have an emergency test book with someone. Then I went online on their website and did chat with their customer executive. They also didn't respond proper. And asking me if you want me to contact instructor and find out what happen then they are happy to do it for me. I said no thanks. They are independent drivers working behalf of Bill Plant with no manners.

He also asked me why do you want to take lessons with me??

I am sure you will regret with them.
Still you want to try just book your free one hour lesson first and wait for instructor to phone you and check what he/she respond. I am sure they ask you to book more lessons.

They are fine for me but ok

Same thing as above member, booked but no one turned up! No communication what so ever was made to notify.

Good deal, only if the instructor turns up, in my opinion AVOID.

I am currently using them and I have to say my instructor is wonderful. I guess it all depends on the instructor you have.

These were the first company I went to for driving lessons and were HORRIBLE. I had 7 lessons - 5 of them being some kind of 'reel-them-in' deal. The first lesson was spent learning how to shut the door properly and how to adjust the seat. After 7 lessons all he'd done was repeatedly take me to the quietest road ever (and not let me drive there myself) and tell me to continuously turn left as 'we hadn't learnt turning right yet'. I realised I was being completely ripped off so got in touch with an independent driving instructor who on my first lesson said 'get in the driving seat! I'm not going to drive you, I'm here if you need me but after 7 lessons you should be able to drive anywhere, you'll be fine'. She was amazing and I'd always go independent now!!

wow! I've just had my fifth driving lesson with an independent driving instructor, not the one mentioned and I've just done a few 3 point turns! I guess some instructors want you to pay for as many lessons as they can.

Independent driving instructors generally survive by "word of mouth" recommendations.
They have to do a good job or they would go out of business quickly.
5 lessons for £56! Don't make me laugh.
If it sounds too good to be true..........

Presumably the instructors working for this company are sub contracting. If you're paying Bill Plant £5.60 an hour I dread to think what they are getting. It's also understandable they will not bother showing up if they get a much better offer from there own independent work, not that it's excusable.

When it is to good to be true.......

It's only 5.60 for first 5 lessons after that it's £25 an hour so don't worry you are getting quality at an expensive price

As a independant driving instructor, all of my pupils are word of mouth! But I see the national companies creeping in down here in sleepy Newton Abbot! And lots of un happy students leaving the national companies for the local independant.
