Ok, so a DECT twin pack for £11.50 may only seem lukewarm, BUT I reserved & collected 2 packs (4 DECT phones for £23) and received 1210 models - they have answer phone - twin DECT answer phone for £11.50 - sounds hotter doesn't it?

Of course your results may vary - if the answer phone is important, perhaps not worth risking a long journey, but if you are going anyway &/or your local store has stock, worth a try.

They had 1 set in Castle Court Belfast when I checked yesterday.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, feel free to vote cold if you want, but have the decency to say why!

Don 't forget Argos are now on Quidco (may not be for offline items, but may as well go through quidco just in case you see something online while you are there).

Fantastic deal. Thank you very much.

just moved and my phone had packed up, placed my order and they were in stock at Fareham... cheers

not recommended - no LCD display which means no caller ID

looks like its one of the 1st generation models of DECT phones which first came out years ago.

these are much better

Agree that they have an LCD, but aside from subscribing to caller ID (which I don't), there is little difference - they are the same make, with similar features. As for the 1210 being out dated, the call quality is fine & the handsets are compact as a result of no LCD (& probably enjoy better battery life).

Good one

I own a 1210 (£3 new on ebay, since you ask).

They have a shades of grey LCD which DOES caller id. Quite hard to read compared to more modern colour screens.

They fit nicely in the hand, are logical to use, though sound level is very low.

Also you can't hear your own voice when you speak, which is strangely disconcerting. First phone I've known not to 'loop the mic' to the earpiece.

Good offer for a cheap phone set, but I would never touch Binatone. used to see more come back as faulty when I worked in retail. You get what you pay for in some cases.

no stock as usual with these argos half price deals

Binatone, Alba etc cheap and nasty wouldn't touch 'em with a barge pole, as you say you get what you pay for.

I must disagree with the people saying binatone are unrealiable... I have owned different models of binatone for 7 years. I have never had any problems....In my family (mum, aunties, sisters etc..) we own about 7-8 different multi-handset by binatone. None of us has had problems... Is it just luck? Also I use them connected to my voip adapter and they work wonderfully.

I recently bought the 2210 deal from Bargain Crazy, and for the price really can't fault them. Recently moved house to a place with only one phone point, and for not too much ££ we now have upstairs and downstairs phone, with answer phone, and the call quality is fine.

nice find
