These Lidl binos always used to be Bresser make, although these look identical. I wonder why the change of name.
Quite a price increase as well, they were £12.99 when stocked previously.

Yes the price has certainly gone up. I thought they were £14.99 last time, but still a bargain. For the price you won't find anything like this quality.

Yeah might have been £14.99 recently..... i paid £12.70 for mine about 3 years ago.
Good quality binos, but i rarely take them out with me because they're just too big..... i'm looking for a pair of smaller ones. Was thinking about getting these.....

Picked myself up a pair today and they seem perfectly fine. Image is clear and bright and they are not too heavy. Build quality probably isn't up there with Nikon or Canon, but then neither is the price. The 5 year warranty isn't to be sniffed at either. I certainly think you would struggle to find anything better at this price.

Picked up my self some yesterday and they aren't too bad at all!
I wanted them for some basic astronomy as well as other things but i'm waiting on a clear night first!
useful having a connector to attach a tripod adapter too should you want to!

My hubby asked for some binos for his b.day, can anyone explain which are better - the lidl ones or these? Sorry to be a stupid girl but I don't know anything about them "/ - thanks in advance.

ps: he uses them for bird watching - not related to Hondo's post.....

I don't know anything about the Vivitars but I have the Lidl ones and they are fine. If they still have them at your local branch I would grab a pair. It will be a lot less hassle to return them if hubby doesn't approve. They also come with a 5 year warranty - the Vivitars will have only 1 year.

Think Lancman is right. But just to add to your dilemma there are some cheap ones from HomeBase
