I've been watching the price of these binoculars for some time. They retail pretty much everywhere for just under £100 (apart from a shop in London selling what I presume to be grey imports).
They are £98 on Amazon *unless* you choose the Global Store in which case they come from Amazon US where they are £51 + postage + import duty.
I think these are a best buy on Which? Would be good if someone could confirm this (and maybe even post the review).

Product details from Amazon:
  • Compact binoculars
  • 10x magnification
  • Small size lightweight design for hassle-free portability
  • Multi-coated lens for maximum image brightness and contrast
  • Twist up-up/down eye pieces for comfortable viewing
  • Manufacturer warranty will not apply

If voting cold, would be great to know why.

I have the 8x25, got them from Amazon couple of years ago when they were on offer for £50. The 8x25 are the Which best buy, don't think they tested the 10x25 - personally I'd go for the 8x25 because they are a bit brighter and more stable image when hand holding (there's no tripod mount) - I can certainly recommend the 8x25, very pleased with them

Receiving cold votes (currently on -12) without some sort of sensible reason is a massive disincentive to posting deals here :-(

Thanks for the info. I wanted the 10x as I live near the coast and want something that I can use when I'm looking in the far distance for dolphins and the like.

The image quality is really good, I was a bit suprised just how good, compared to other relatively cheap binoculars that I've owned

I would imagine it's because this is from Amazon US which would put most people off including me, also this type of bino is in a very competitive segment with loads of decent models to choose from Nikon, Pentax, Vanguard etc. I have the Nikon Sportstar EX 10x25DCF (£69 Amazon) and they are excellent and very compact, prefer it to this Olympus shape for pocket-ability.
Most binoculars come out of the same Chinese factory if It states made in China and if it states made in Japan it comes out of Kamakura factory. Only exceptions are top end binos £500+ which may be made in house.
