Bresser Biolux AL :whistling:

Does it go up to 1280X really?

I bought a Lidl Bresser microscope a few years ago and it's a superb piece of kit for the money. I think at the time I found web retailers selling the same model for about £150.

Yes it can do 1280x but that's using the x2 barlow which is complete rubbish so it's a completely pointless exercise trying to use that magnification. Excellent views at all the standard magnifications though.

i have one of those usb microscopes thats 200x , would this be better? i use it for circuit boards etc etc

cheers

Lol, the 1280x does really make me scare cos what I am using in the semi-conductor was only 1000x.

ideal for primary school kids but that will be about it

I wont recommend it for secondary work

but for price good scompared to the plastic tripe that around and sold over xmas

You haven't actually looked through a Bresser Biolux have you?

Is this a specific deal to a certain part of the country?

Just checked the Lidl's website and I cannot find any info on it??

It doesn't start until the 17th!

Cheers  ReebokRon, I can see the Start date now in the OP

Do Lidl still to the different offers for different parts of the uk or are they all the same now? Just wondering if this is gonna be in my local?

a mono scope, are you crazy, like I said for primary schools kids, binos are for real study. I dont need to look through one as we manufacture them! And these cost peanuts to make and bundled with low cost parts to keep costs down.

Great for beginners and kids who I will recommend to and for older kids binos.

I hope that helps

What you work for Bresser in china?

And your comment about binocular eyepieces is silly. Monocular microscopes are used at all levels of education/research. This is obviously an entry level hobby microscope and a very good one at that. No school is going to be going down to Lidl to buy a microscope, and this would not be good for classroom use, but it would be able to cover the relevant parts of the national curriculum to secondary level.

Wow, a microscope like this in primary school? I'd have loved that, I didn't even know what a microscope was while I was at primary school. And I was still there less than 10 years ago.

Even at secondary school we were using cheap ones that needed a desk lamp and mirror as a light source all the way up to 16... after that we got treated to ancient ones with a built in light source but definitely poorer quality than this and no way binocular eyepieces, not even for teacher demos. I wasn't at a bad school either.

This bresser has a mechanical slide stage too doesn't it? As far as I can tell, it's by far the best you could buy for anything apart from pro use, definitely a bargain at this price.

Do you reckon I could view my ***** with this? Or doesn't it have the required magnification.

Yes you can, and you can make a video of the action.
Fascinating!

It doesn't say what the PC camera resolution is.

Anyone know?

If it's the same as Astroshop then it's only 320x240.

Little problem - I need information about output level of Bresser Biolux AL power adapter (Volts)?

does anyone know where to buy replacement power supplies?
