The genuine article at 43p in Trowbridge. Looking around at other stores it seems to be half price. No mention of any reduction, but I happened to need some and thought it seemed cheap. Will stock up with a few more soon.

mmmm custard and chocolate cake.....must stock up!!!

Surely it's time to have a section for deals under a £1 to filter all this dross out!

This sounds like a fantastic deal and I want to make a trifle for my grandma's birthday in June. Is this powder long life, does it have a best before date? Will it keep if left in a cupboard? I don't want to spend 40 pence now and find out i have wasted my money. Please help me make a decision

Went to my local asda and could only see this for 86p, maybe only a Trowbridge deal... Stock up for xmas.

Lumpy custard worse than WW3.

Now this is a coincidence... For the first time ever, just an hour ago I bought this in Asda, prior to seeing this post.. Anyway, I was charged 86p, although they did have some stock next to the enterence, so might be lined up for a price drop, I dont know.

Now lets hope it taste nice..

It wont it tastes rank -Push the boat out and get a tin of ambrosea custard that will taste yummy

Im off to Trowbridge Asda tomorrow so will see what I can see.....

The genuine article? It's all just cornflower, colouring and flavouring. But I guess it tastes better if you show everyone the box when you serve them the custard. :-D

I always buy the packets of Instant custard from Morrisons or Sainsbury's for 8p and they only need hot water instead of using milk.

Custard powder can be fun, as it's explosive! If you can get a fine dust of powder in a confined space and ignite it, it will go bang! I've seen it destroy things before! :-D

Been to two local Asda's but 86p at both... might be best to ring your store first as offer may not be on at all stores.

Saw you can actually buy readymade trifles... so I wont need the custard anyway lol

I bought some today in Gt. Yarmouth Asda...86p i'm afraid. Add a little double cream & few drops of vanilla to make it yummy!
