If this is right it's worth buying an extra freezer to keep them in and buying a trolly full. There's no fish finger can compare to real cod. And what better quick meal or snack than a fish finger butty.

sick of seeing fish fingers that are
a) pollock
b) mixed fish- bit of cod, haddock, pollock, and a whole other variety of white fish all mixed and minced into one, then named omega3 - YUK, yuk yukky!

looks like captain birdseye has had a vist from gok wan

Why oh why oh why is this deal so hot???!!!
So far one person has found it in one store.............

Because we're voting on the deal, not the availablility. If it's only in one store, and only one person in a hundred can benefit from it, it doesn't make it a bad deal - it just means that it's not available to everybody.

I think you'll find the ratio is going to be somewhat less than 1%.

I also think the logic of your argument. "we're voting on the deal, not the availablility" is flawed.

I agree. There's no perfect way to define the voting on this site, yet for the most part deals are only affected by availability when it's in a positive way. What I mean is a good deal is a good deal regardless of availability, yet if it's freely available everywhere as well, then it'll be hotter, but people voting cold because they can't get a deal seems even more illogical.

Good deal for those who can get but none in Glasgow

I don't think voting cold comes into it. I haven't voted this cold, neither do I think should anyone else. That would be akin to people voting dvds and music deals cold because they don't like the subject matter, whilst ignoring the merits of the price - which I take to be the ethos of this site.
My "issue", (for want of a much better word), with this deal is that its more people voting hot even though it its not "A Hot Deal" to them.
If you extend your argument, everyone should vote every good deal hot.................:)

To a degree, yes. That's where knowledge / popularity come into it as well. It's never going to be a perfect system, but on something like fish fingers, which everybody probably knows the prices on, there're going to be more people to vote on it.
