You found my gold! tuck in!

I have never seen this offer finished at my local tesco but still good price.

What Fish?.

Certainly not cod. Probably pollock - slightly greyish flesh and not a nice taste IMO. Bird's Eye never actually mention that they have changed to a fish that costs them about 1/4 of the price of cod but haven't actually lowered their prices!

almost definite these are pollock. think i bought these recently and didnt even realise they werent cod until i got home n missus pointed it out. havent tried them yet tho...

It's been £1 in Iceland for ageeeeees! Cold/.

Think the Young's brand in Iceland are £1 for 250 grams.

It doesn't matter what fish you put in someone will complain. Intresting how people care about chicken welfare but don't give a **** if COD or other overfished fish die out. Birdseye clearly do that's why they are using pollock in their fish fingers.

Wow you really think birdseye care about the fish stocks and not just profit???

Why do so called veggies eat fish??? Don't they realise they are killing the seas??

rather pay £1.50 for 10 at Iceland made of Cod Fillet

If they are using pollock it means something. If there's no fish for them to sell that means their future is looking dim dont you think? Not much profit then is there. Im not saying stop eating Cod, just that it doesn't have to be the fish of choice for every time you eat fish, and mainly putting down products that dont use cod. Pollock is a perfectly acceptable fish and tastes just fine. Theres nothing wrong with Cod when your having your fish and Chips etc, but Fish fingers are so regular theres no harm done with having Pollock in them.

im not sure about the whole pollock vs cod debate, but Ive gone off these fish fingers. theres more 'crispy batter' i preffered the old one more orangy breadcrumb and the fish doesnt taste right
