Did you get a try me free packet?

The offer is likely to be on both your CheckoutSmart App (CoS) and the Quidco ClickSnap system (website/App) (QCS) so you could see the offer twice, running from today over 15 days to Tue 26th May but at only 4 stores: ASDA, Sainsbury's Tesco & Waitrose.

The offer is about 80% of the way down the list on both Apps (under those never-ending crisps!) - great way for them to hide new offers oO.
The CoS one says "Exclusive to you" and 2 out of 3 of our family a/c's have it. All our QCS a/c's do.

The Sainsbury's half-price £1.50 Garlic/Herb offer (as spotted by meeeeee above) runs for another week to Tue 19/5 per their website.

At Waitrose they are at £2.99 and are BOGOF until close of business today - then unknown as offer ends today.

You can buy twice and make claims on both CoS and QCS as long as you buy on separate receipts - ie pick up two at 1 of the 4 valid stores but at the till split your basket & buy them on separate receipts, one to submit to CoS, the second to QCS. (This is required as they are linked enterprises & their T&Cs do not permit you to submit the same receipt to both sites.)

If you want the ingredients see Birds Eye website
birdseye.co.uk/ran…ish
The coated fish section (12 products, they are the last 3)
Surprisingly high percentage - c70% - of formed cod fillet pieces!

The 'Try me free' offer - a very clear yellow banner on the carton - is one per household, requires your original receipt and a 15+ word statement of what you thought of the product - and they refund your postage. (Your having made a claim via CoS and/or QCS is totally independent of Birds Eye's offer.) Claims by 30/6/2016 (ie 13 months!) so can stock your freezer up - just remember where you stored the receipt for each household claim! The promo is re "Lightly Dusted fillets" rather than any particular variety, so seems highly likely they are only accepting one claim per household, not one claim per variety per household.

Anyone unfamiliar with CoS & QCS see my summary (there's 5 such site/Apps) on here at:
hotukdeals.com/mis…228

(As CoS members should have read today in an email from them - they have just added ONLINE purchasing to their previous in-store only offer - so you can now upload your online delivery note to support CoS claims!)

PS:
If you're in TESCO and after another Birds Eye £back bargain + different Try Me Free offer see another of anthony14's spots here:

The try me free offer is refunded via cheque

On I don't have this offer in my app

Worth knowing Waitrose have them bogoff

...But they probably have a posher name for that offer

khooja

cant see this offer in my account?

I think it's for specific people. I don't have it either. Bad Cos/Cs!

Nope don't have this offer

I often find that the offers appear on the CheckoutSmart app first and then, if I'm lucky, appear on the ClickSnap app (or Quidco website) a day or so later - even though they're the same company. The current offer on CheckoutSmart says that it's an exclusive offer and it may be because I've bought other Birds Eye products and made a claim.

With regards to the 'Try Me Free' promotion, does anyone know if it's the whole Birds Eye product range counts as the one and only permitted claim per household, or could you claim once per household per product type? For example, there's the 'Stir Your Senses' products that are on the try me free promotion and if someone was to claim for one of those products, could they also do the same with the cod fillets as a second claim from a different product range?

I picked up the 'Birds Eye Lightly Dusted Cod Fillets in a Garlic & Herb Crumb' from Sainsbury's this afternoon and the freezer shelf had two boxes left, while the other products in this range at £3 were full.

Its per product range as I claimed for the chicken and fish inspirations several months ago and receuved a cheque for both as well as postage.

Its on my COS but not on my CS.

FYI: Waitrose had these all on BOGOF until yesterday 12/5, but new offer period there now & back to £2.99/pack.
So very clear best buy Garlic/Herb @ Sainsbury.

if you are lucky Sainsbury's do have galic version with the try me free flash.
Don't know about the rest as the freezer they should have been has keeled over again in the shop. If not in main freezer look in the 'offers' freezer.

Brilliant, thanks op. Got a £3 one last week in Tesco for the try me free, and picked one up today in sainsburys, for a 1p profit!

I haven't got this offer. I do have a free whispa bar if I buy from the spar and the can of Malibu and diet coke.

Don't see how you get £1.51 back, when It clearly says you can only use receipt ONCE. So if you upload it for the cash prize they will not accept it for the £1.50 reward on the fish.

Lol, calm down:) I got a £3 one where I've sent recipe off last week for try me free, and bought one today that I've uploaded receipt for:)

When you upload a receipt to Checkoutsmart you tick off all/any offers that your receipt includes eg it could cover crisps, cheese, etc. And hence can claim for the two offers £1.50 and prize draw (get 1p) AS you upload the receipt the once.

(uploading to checkoutsmart is completely independent of posting a receipt to Birds Eye for a try me free too.)

I see what your saying.

Could've caught the thing fishing by now.

Ye, MKD explains it better than I do, lol:) so, if I hadn't already claimed the try me free, I could've sent my yesterday's receipt off for the try me free:) have a look at MKD's thread on all cashback apps on Misc- it's excellent, and MKD updates it regularly:)

These aren't £1.89 in Asda they are £2.98. The larger box in similar packaging is £1.89, the cash back is for the 225g pack. I made the same mistake until I double checked when the price wasn't what I expected.

I paid £1.89 in Asda and got the £1.50 cashback for it.

Pleased to report that tried the Rosemary ones and liked them; and folks tried Garlic ones and similarly impressed (obviously will also say that to Birds Eye with "Try me free" reports). Would definitely buy again at £1.50... maybe £2, not £3 tho.
