Each to their own, but I thought these were truly disgusting. It's only a bargain if it doesn't end up in the bin.

these have been on offer a LOT at Tesco recently... I've got quite a few in the freezer uneaten!! Only the boyfriend likes them! Myself and my son think they're awful... and we both really love fish!

(I never voted)

Yes they were BOGOF in Tesco and Morrisons which worked out at 4 fillets for £1.79. They are not too bad for 50p each! ;-)

I thought they were a good offer UNTIL I bought a box and tried them..... I love fish but I didn't like these things at all....

75p at iceland

Voted hot, had a piece tonight and really enjoyed it....

Me and thw wife had ours Sunday night and they were alot nicer than any other frozen battered fish in a box. Hot deal.

Ain't it £1 at Iceland as well?

My daughter loves these great price !

I adore fish but these are horrible. Avoid.

i have tried these and there yummy not bad taste at all there nice as alot of people opinions are diffrent some like them and some dont:thumbsup:

Ive had these too and think they are worth the £1. They arent as they should be for a birdseye product but not bad for £1.
voted hot and bought 2 more this evening.

These have been cheap virtually everywhere since introduction....held back because I though they must be rank

reduced to clear now

what a bargain BUT whats wrong with them why do they taste so awful ?

I'm abit picky when it comes to fish in a box processed but i tried these and was pleasantly surprised
proper piece of fish that flakes naturally, which can only mean they are genuine fillets not the reformed mush with the grey bits you normally expect that taste disgusting, this has a nice fresh taste, also a nice alternative to the over fishing of haddock is a fish called Bassa,i tried it as an alternative and it just tastes like haddock morrisons sell it with batter or breadcrumbs

I'm a bit suspicious that they call them seaside fillets, but they don't actually identify the species of whatever fish it is??

yeah they do - they are pollock fillets. I don't think they like putting "pollock" on the box front as it looks too much like "bollock"

I have tried these and they certainly have an odd taste. In the breadcrumbs/batter I am guessing.

I think they're delicious. We had some tonight.
