Popped over the border to italy via the chamonix tunnel the other summer, stopped off at a local supermarket, decent "export" 660ml beers (including a much wider variety of Moretti were little more than a single euro!

Not really relevant to this post but yeah beer is rediculously cheap in supermarkets in Italy. Walk across the road to a restaurant and the mark up is about 500%.

Got a few the other day but tempted to stock up for Xmas, 50p a can or go to Asda and pay £1 for a can or 70p for a bottle of bud in Scotland!

Not quite as good as last weeks buy one box of 12 bottles and get one free for £11 from sainsbury's but i would have stocked up on this if I had not have got 10 boxes for £55. Hot from me

Nope popped over (through the tunnel) infers I was already in the locality, my comment is to show the price differential & hype between what is domestic product which then becomes "premium price export"

Sainsbury's didn't honour that for me. They said it was a mistake.

Delivered it. Ordered 5 so should have got 10. Got £21 in vouchers as an apology for their website error.
Didn't believe them but too busy to argue really. It did remind me why I stopped shopping at Sainsbury's
